There is an ancient TrackIR profile I uploaded like 6 years ago to naturalpoint. It's called 'FS2004 Optimized Flight'

That might have been the case for earlier versions, but I'm pretty sure the v1.3 installer contains all the dependencies you need (which is why its such a big download). Just run the setup.exe and then follow the instructions to patch to v1.4.Kind regardsDave

I downloaded facetracknoir and the other head tracking demo (I had the missing dll msg in Win 7 64 bit).The latest version of facetracknoir doesn't appear to have a FSX/FS2004 ini file? I downloaded it twice to double-check. The ini file as described in the setup is not to be found in the correct folder.Has anyone managed to get it working with one of the other ini files?

Thanks very much for the info Dave. Is it on their sourceforge download page? I didn't see a patch there just a full installer. I can't access the page here. Will try again from home later.Adam

Updating to v1.4 will add the simconnect.ini needed for FSX. Simply running "setup.exe" and clicking through the prompts should install all of these in one go. There shouldn't be any need to download or install anything else before, or after to get v1.30 working. This was certainly my experience on my computer. I'm not part of the team that developed the installer so I can't be 100% sure, but I will send all your feedback to Wim.Hopefully, with the new filtering the responsiveness (and smoothness) will be improved. I didn't exactly relate to my experience correctly in my original post. When I had the waterfall error message, I consulted "known issues" on the website and acted per the following:Q: I get 'IPP waterfall error':A: This error is probably caused by the fact that you have a processor, that was not recognized by the IPP-runtime installer. To solve this, you should un-install the IPP-runtime (via Control Panel/Add Remove Programs) and then install the faceAPI demo. You can un-install the faceAPI demo after this.My problem was apparently due to the i7 processor I was using, not Windows 7, and the indicated solution did work.

I've installed the patch and it "sort" of works in FSX. For some reason my VC view is at an angle even when webcam is aligned correctly. Am trying to work out how to make it level. I tried using TrackIR5 again but I'd rather get the TrackNoir working properly. Will continue experimenting:)

Hello TrafficPilot,By 'patch' I guess you mean update 4? That is the first version supporting FSX and FS2004. Update 5 will be released shortly (as you've read before) and will make FSX-support definitely better .
