I have always had good experiences with PC Aviator. No complaints regarding customer service here.

I agree with you. I've only experienced good service from them. I once made an order mistake and was able to contact them before shipment and it worked , I received what I wanted. I've always been able to contact them and they replied my questions.

So, there is a 50% deal on MSX:SOCAL. It looks absolutely beautiful. What do you guys think. Should I get it? Would be awesome to use together with FSDT's KLAX, whenever it gets released.

Yeah, the MSX packages are great in my opinion, much better than the MSE stuff. I have SoCal, Vegas, Dallas, and Phoenix. The Las Vegas and Dallas packages work really well with the FSDT KLAS and KDFW. Plus I love the night textures. Of course I had to have Dallas since I live there and I had to have Phoenix since I am originally from near there.I'm sure SoCal will look great with KLAX, in fact it makes the default KLAX blend in better as well.

I too have had a excellent experience with the team over at MSE. I like the product even though some areas are subpar but most of it is good. I have turned up the autogen and have found ways to make add on airports and scenery able to lay on top of it, which makes it even better. I do like the ORBX stuff and have replaced my Washington and Oregon sceneries with it. My only complaint is they should spend abet more time and color correct there images, as some are washed out and don't look that good.Batting%20Eyelashes.gif Josh

Right, bought it. Hopefully it'll arrive soon in the mail. Can't wait to install and see it.

In all honesty after having purchased WA state and all of the available OR I was pretty impressed. Is it a little expensive? Sure, but Ive also always been a photosceneryophile as allowed to the landclass/orbx stuff, although orbx makes a fantastic product, i find it's better suited for bush flying. But there's no reason to not get both depending on the mood your in, as it doesn't take much to switch between the two. I've recently taken the plunge and started creating my own photoscenery for the places un-available through payware developers. I've found that using FS Earth Tiles is quit simple really, although somewhat time consuming while it processes the scenery. It even allows you to create water masks/seasons/night lighting, although I haven't had much luck with night lights as of yet. But at least the scenery darkens as he sun goes down as opposed to staying bright as if it were day. In about a weeks worth of time I've completed the rest of OR and all of my home state of Montana, and let me tell ya, she looks almost as good as the real thing! Very impressed and best of all it was free. It's quite rewarding to create your own photoscenery, i recommend anyone who has wanted to give it a shot to do so! Anyway, good day all!

You guys should check out Vero stuff as well..... http://vero-fs.com/ It has full seasons, colour corrected and optimized imagery, nightlighting, custom autogen, high resolution....basically all the things people who dont like photoscenery moan about. And its real cheap. Do yourselves a favour and have a look. Also, sim Savvy is releasing an upgrade with better aerial imagery and the whole of the USA for the same price he did the west coast. You really have no excuse guys..Cheers, Mark

I agree that Vero stuff looks great, although currently the only areas they offer don't interest me much since I already own MSX SoCal, although the San Fran package might interest me once Flightbeam releases KSFO. Heck, I might even get thier LA package once FSDT releases KLAX since it does look a bit better then MSX. Now if they would just do a package like that for the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area I would be in flight sim heaven. The Sim Saavy looks nice as well, but I am more interested in city or small area specific scenery that has at least a little autogen and night textures. I have wondered if the Sim Saavy fellow might consider doing some city packs with night texures to complement the areas he has done already. I actually tried to download the Miami samples he had posted on his site that consisted of 4 downloads that were pretty big. After downloading all 4, only one would extract and the other 3 kept saying that they were missing a file or corrupt. I downloaded the said samples again and got the same message, so I was unable to test it out.
