February 15, 201115 yr I will be getting all of the France VFR as I am that happy with my purchases with them so far. I wonder how it merges with Switzerland Proffesional (as I have Alps Nord), and I heard Swiss Pro is absolutely awesome.I also have the valle aosta (I have emailed Frank and trying to get the other FS9 photosceneries for Italy he has done and that area) from the file library. The first FranceVFR I purchased was Paris and when approaching (my Simwings LFPG) CDG it looks stunning!!!! Who here has had a great experience with the France VFR scenery?Daniel

Who here has had a great experience with the France VFR scenery?DanielHi Daniel!I also have all the FranceVFR series (airports and regional scenery) as well as Switzerland Professional (and the various Swiss aiports from Fly Logic) and I have, as yet, found no major problems in terms of how the two merge. In my opinion, the France VFR scenery, particularly Paris and the various regional sceneries, are probably the best you will get for FS9, with great realism even flying at low level and returning great framerates even with Carenado aircraft. Also they continue to produce quality scenery for FS9! Swiss Pro is very good too. Enjoy!Bill
February 15, 201115 yr I've got most of the FanceVFR series. With regard to using it with Switzerland pro, there's a couple of little issues you might want to know about. First is that they don't quite meet up perfectly, so leave a couple of ground tiles that show the default scenery. This is just next to LSGG, so might be related to the FSDT Geneva. The second is that the France VFR alps only show summer textures, whereas the Swiss pro has a hard winter texture available. This obviously means that during the winter months you will get one side of Geneva showing all green, with the south side being covered in snow.Neither are a massive issue given the benefits of using both of these amazing packages. i7 2600k @ 5.1Ghz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600Mhz, EVGA GTX 580 @ 950MHz, OCZ Vertex II 240GB, ASUS Xonar DG, Thermaltake Toughpower XT 875W PSU, Antec KÜHLER 620 W/C, Corsair 600T SE White My FS9 Screens - http://fs9screens.blogspot.com/ Callum Richardson

Maybe France VFR can one day do England and Germany (for FS2004).Daniel

Maybe France VFR can one day do England and Germany (for FS2004).DanielDon't worry about the Core 2 Duo - I have a Quad i5 and I still get loads of blurry scenery when flying over MegaScenery. It's just something about FS2004: it can't seem to load everything fast enough. This is part of the reason I switched to FSX, because it handles the loading of textures much better in my experience. I can fly around MegSceneryX's NYC and get beautiful photorealistic ground scenery, and none of it is blurry. FSX seems to be able to keep up with the loading quite well, even if I'm flying a heavy with 250kts out of JFK (in FS2004, that means that the scenery under my plane would be blurry after 5 nm). It's nice to read your enthusiasm regarding FranceVFR. I have been thinking of getting Basel-Mulhouse (not sure why). Do you recommend it? I have been thinking of getting Basel-Mulhouse (not sure why). Do you recommend it?And the good thing is when I get a faster machine this year most of the scenery I have bought for FS9 will work in FSX. Only thing is FSX has rapids in the Thames in London. There are quiet a few oddities with FSX but if my machine is more powerful I think all will be fine.I can't recommend it sorry I have only the photo sceneries and not all of them. I can say they of the highest quality AND (I have megascenery California both nth and sth but only the originals) way better than megascenery.I see you asked about the Basel-Mulhouse in another post too. I just got the Riviera scenery the other day and Nice is not a full airport. When I bought Paris photoscenery I don't think any airport is included. That is why I bought simwings Paris CDG (very nice-I can recommend it!). I think they just claim that each airport they mention such as LFSB 'fits nicely' in their scenery. http://www.francevfr.com/product.asp?Code=VFRALSX That is the FSX version.I like how they have an upgrade offer from FS2004 (50% off). I will be buying all the FS9 and then their FSX versions. If you want my thoughts, I think it isn't included. What do you like about Basle-Mulhouse?Daniel
February 16, 201115 yr If you want my thoughts, I think it isn't included. What do you like about Basle-Mulhouse?DanielI'm actually not sure. I have Aerosoft's MAP Paris CDG, and hardly fly to it. I also have that very old Orly airport by I-forgot-who-made-it, and I hardly use it. Fact is, I hardly ever fly south. I fly either north, to Scandinavia, east to Germany and Austria, or west to America. Or, I just fly in America (and now that I bought FTX AU with 50% off, I'll fly around Australia too). So I'm actually not sure why I even consider buying it. It's just that, on the way to Zurich with the PMDG MD-11, I flew over Basel-Mulhouse, and I drove through the city when we went on vacation to Switzerland, so that's the reason I had to buy it. In hindsight, France doesn't actually interest me that much... So, I guess, forget my question. I probably won't buy any FranceVFR stuff anyway... February 16, 201115 yr I have most of their airport secnery, not crazy bout the photo stuff they do as it does not include night textures.Imagine flying into the city of lights and seeing no lights!BTW, I love MAP LFPG by Aerosoft, an excellent rendition. I also have Orly by them and it too is very well done, but it is a bit frame rate hungry I hear (I notice no problems on my I7 with it mind you). I really need to sit down and do a Corsair 747-400 flight to TNCM one of these days. Al Stiff
February 16, 201115 yr Hi I had FranceVFR Paris with Aerosoft MegaCDG.With this combination I had OOM or CTD I could not remember.Few months ago I rebuild my PC with W7 64bit and fresh FS9 install.Till now everything is working properly (without FranceVFR).Question for owners of FRANCE VFR scenerys.Have You notice any kind of memory leak with FRANCEVFR scenery?Because I read this article about OOM:http://www.forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?showtopic=19147ThanksEdin

This is not so annoying. Daniel
December 31, 201510 yr Don't worry about the Core 2 Duo - I have a Quad i5 and I still get loads of blurry scenery when flying over MegaScenery. It's just something about FS2004: it can't seem to load everything fast enough. Does this mean that no matter how powerful the machine is...i will still get the blurries?...is anyone able to run this airport in fs9 without the blurry textures?...mine are so bad it is unusable...please let me know...thank you
January 1, 201610 yr I have no idea what this meant close to 5 years ago. Sorry ....... I'm now lucky to remember what I meant 5 minutes ago ...... I think.
