March 30, 201115 yr Author I just made a auto search on the nvidia site and it said that everything is up to date. How can this be?Just double click on my embedded link....and you'll have it for W7 64 bit....or...Go to the Nvidia site and click on BETA/Archived drivers. Put in your card, and it will display this driver right at the top of the list.
March 30, 201115 yr I just made a auto search on the nvidia site and it said that everything is up to date. How can this be?Your current driver is the current released driver. The 270 is a beta. March 31, 201115 yr Your current driver is the current released driver. The 270 is a beta.Oh it´s beta. This explains it why I couldn´t find it. Maybe I´ll wait till it´s offically released cause I don´t want to screw up my stable system with a beta driver. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
March 31, 201115 yr Author good as in better or the same?I'd say the same....I have a GTX285, so this driver is not being tweaked truly for it. If you have the latest non-beta...and have a 200 series...I'd say don't bother. You're already 'good to go'.
April 4, 201115 yr I experience some nice improvements with these new drivers on my GTX280 OC over the latest WHQL drivers. Most important for me, is the really reduced texture flashing with the bufferpools tweak. Before I experienced quite a few texture flashing and other graphical glitches, that I took for granted however because of the huge performance increase. These new drivers seem to have reduced the flashing considerably on my setup. April 5, 201115 yr Once again Bert you helped me get a better performance in FSX... Yesterday I followed your advice to internally lock my fps to 30 (my monitor refresh rate is 60) and used an Affinity mask of 14. Now much smoother.Today, I follow your advice and install the beta driver...wow...same inspector settings and much better IQ. OK, I also brought my I5 2500k to 4.8 with 1.375 vcore, but yesterday I was at 4.7, can't make that big a difference in smoothness, can it?Anyway, great tips guys, FSX has definately never looked that good for me. Let's hope this OC is stable, and flying will definately be a treat.

April 10, 201115 yr Thanks Bert, I didn't think this setting was going to make such a difference, but it really looks better. With no performance impact whatsoever.
April 10, 201115 yr Thanks Bert, I didn't think this setting was going to make such a difference, but it really looks better. With no performance impact whatsoever.Great! Just be aware that FSX will reset this value to 4.5 if you make any changes to the Display settings in-game.I have a few saved setting which I can load in-game to make sure I am running what I require.LOD radius 5.5 and 4.5, combined with 38m and 10m mesh.In Seattle which is a real torture for my system, I run 4.5 and everywhere else in Orbx PNW,I run 5.5 / 10m.
