Wilco Feelthere 737 PIC

Featured Replies

I've found a topic about this bird in Fs9 forum but it's old and there were many agruements which I don't want to bring it up again.Wilco/Feelthere did upgrade their bird with a new SP times ago.Just want to know your opinions ,no comparison or anything :(

As someone who enjoys the PMDG/LVD birds, I also fully enjoy the Wilco/FT 737. It has it's quirks but is still very enjoyable and has a great systems model. My biggest gripe about the FT/Wilco 737 is that it has no external fuel/payload loader/editor.

I agree with the above. Despite its reputation, I think it's still an excellent simulation even considering its age now. Yes it has some little quirks that you'll need to get used to, but which real aircraft doesn't?

Well the tail sits a little high on the main landing gear which on my install I adjusted the contact points for a more level profile on the ground. Many have commented on the look of the VC which is a problem. Other than that for me I find nothing else really wrong with the bird.

I agree with that too.
HiI would agree with all of the previous users too. I use the FT/Wilco 737 for the 300 - 500 versions and the PMDG for the 600 - 900 versions and enjoy both. I would say that the PMDG version has the edge in terms of modeling both externally and internally in the cockpit and, if you are big into systems, the PMDG version is certainly closer to reality, although, if you wish, you can also get into the PMDG 737s and just fly, without getting too involved in the systems.Bill

iFly is actually the 'Holy Grail' for the 737NG in FS9 but that's a topic for another time. I will say this, I can't believe the older PMDG 737 is still priced the way it is with a better lower priced model on the market, oh well...

Thanks.Actually I have this bird. But the way I fly planes in FS is that I always try to deal and to face with what they give me. Sometimes I can find out the problems, but mostly I think that because of the realistic or "because that how it is". Yeah..that's why I need comments from other people

iFly no doubt one of the best aircraft package available in the market :( Since the day I bought, I've spent most of my time with it :( also because 737 is my favorite aircraft of all time

Haven't ever had the IFly version, but now I'm tempted - this has happened with other aircraft before and I have given into the temptation to get a better version, but it gets to be quite expensive!!Bill

I use the wilco extensively and have for a long time. I love everything about the old bird. Yeah there are a few things that are irksome but the only real problem I have is with the autpilot. The bank angles get to steep and sometimes it doesn't want to follow the glideslope but if you figure that in and adjust to compensate, it is a real joy to fly.

/OTCompare to other top-list paywares like PMDG 747/MD11 or even Qualitywings 757, I think the price is acceptable. But one truely thing that makes this worth every penny is their support :(

Hi AllIs the Wilco 737PIC the same as the JustFlight 737 PIC (shown here http://www.justflight.com/product.asp?pid=116)There seems to be quite a difference in the price between JF one and Wilco one - just wondered if they were two totally different products?ThanksMartin

I get confused about the JustFlight offerings too. Also, the Wilco 737PIC series is listed in my aircraft folder as the 'feelThere' 737 PIC series - even more confusing :( I fly the PMDG 600/700 and 800/900 versions too and although the feelThere PIC virtual cockpit is poor by comparison with these, I can easily live with that. I've never tried the iFly 737 - now I am tempted but is it still available?

Yup, its still the Wilco 737 PIC from Just Flight. I actually got mine from Just Flight, long ago.
