Paro Approach

Featured Replies

Hi,my eye caught a new addon, Paro VQPR airport made by Thai Creations and before long, I was enroute to this remote spot in Bhutan. Started at Jinnah Intl., Karachi by MSK Productions, onboard a Sheehan Air B737-277/adv (Tinmouse II), repaint by Muhammad Sarmad Khan.Active Sky, FS Flight Keeper, FS Commander, PFE and ENB Series bloom tweaked endlessly - but I like it now. The Tinmouse II B732 equipped with Sperry 177 and CIVA INS. Had to do a DME update prior to descent, needed the thing to be as accurate as possible. That valley is narrow...109 passengers aboard, it was a murky, hot and humid morning at Karachi as we taxied to the activeBeautiful sunrise, but a lot of turbulence, the old JT8D-09A engines struggling in the hot air to keep us climbingTraffic is sparse in these parts...The Himalayas in the distance...More of the HimalayasDescending to TAKTI wpt. Those mountains look intimidating!Steep descent. No ILS, no VASI, no nothing. MDA at 12.500' for Cat A and B. We're not even legal here.... wonder how Druk AIr does it with their A319's?Came in hot and fast, slammed her into the tarmac, reversers, brakes.... things happen quickly at 7.300'!Taxiing to the gate. Druk Air's A319s are still here....Some great views here... looks like a T-storm is brewing in the distanceTalking about dangerous approaches... gonna try approach to rwy 15, that one is even more fun. Regards,Jure

Traffic at Paro is static, right ? I have the scenery but can't seem to compile AI plans for this airport and can't seem to find a compiled one online either. It's a great airport to fly to, if only I could watch other traffic pull-in.Great shots :) (especially the wing-view and touch down images)CheersKaran

impressive also, the Circle to land on runway 15:

Thank you for the kind words! :(

Traffic at Paro is static, right ?
@Karan: Nope, it's AI. I forgot where I've gotten Paro traffic and flight plans from. I made too many changes and additions over the years. I can take the traffic.bgl apart and have a peek...@Guy: Thanks for the links! Makes sense, following the river when shooting the rwy 33 approach, it is much too steep if flying straight in from the VOR. Regards,Jure

Jure, I've tried searching almost everywhere and then after watching another video on Youtube, I think, I was advised by the uploader to create my own AI plan as he had done that as well. Although its time consuming, I'm probably going to sit down one day and create a few plans myself. Would love to see a 747 come down on that approach. ;)Any chance of getting a landclass/mesh addon for this area ? Thanks :)CheersKaran
