May 27, 201115 yr I think this is a tricky one for PMDG. Whilst they're further out than they might have suggested this is a unique situation for them. Suddenly PMDG are in a genuinely competitive environment just like every other conventional company out there and they felt they had to react. The problem is that because we as their customers aren't used to this it's sparked a wildfire of unfounded speculation and expectation that the PMDG team are having to deal with.I just find it odd, if you claim to own previous PMDG products (especially the MD and JS41), that you feel the need to question the accuracy and authenticity of any of their new products :( Best Regards, Dan Parkin.
May 27, 201115 yr Yet, you are complaining.I vote for silence until release, of this and any other product.:rolleyes:No, I'm not. I'm merely pointing out that I understand why some people are frustrated here.-john rodgers
May 28, 201115 yr So in the meantime why not compile questions on the operation of the NG. Learn how its meant to be flown. There are countless things to learn. Grab a hold (if you can) of some companies SOPs and learn them. For example, when you take off how many of you actually do a VNAP A/B, also knows as NADP 1/2? Do you know these are actual requirements for jets? Its not like the old King Air days when you just blast off and climb at 140kts! Get some enthusiasm going instead of the negativity being derived from the released dates etc.For now keep the blue side up unless its intentional.JackColwillSo well said!!!And I find it quite a coincidence that you said that. This is exactly what I have focused my waiting time on for the last month or so. I found myself getting frustrated flying other aircraft knowing its not the NGX I so desire . I havn't even touched FS in about that long, now instead I'm using that time to study the NG. Even with all my years of advanced flight simulation, and being in the industry, I just finally was able to learn the defined difference between VNAP A/B. Although I cant say I know NADP 1/2 yet..... but I will get there. Find a NG CBT, Purchase the manuals from PMDG, dig around on the internet, and truly learn this thing while you wait. You will enjoy it that much more when the time comes. May 28, 201115 yr Vin, first, well said. It left me wondering if after this release what the internal discussions within pmdg will be with regards to the next Boeing product, the 777. The context I am referring to is dev time as in, will it be three years to market like the 737? RSR has said in not so many words that the company did not expect this length of time for development of the 737. I think we can all assume that Flight from MS will make it to market within the next couple years. Us end users will wonder if dev time will kinda of be put on hold during the FSX to Flight transistion. I don't expect pmdg to privy us to internal discussions. This is merely my thoughts on the 737 post release time period. Eric
May 28, 201115 yr I just find it odd, if you claim to own previous PMDG products (especially the MD and JS41), that you feel the need to question the accuracy and authenticity of any of their new productsI find it even more odd that those who claim to own PMDG products are not actively in the virtual sky enjoying their product(s). May 28, 201115 yr To Vin and Robert, and of course all others.I have not post in a while but have been reading some of the comments sent towards PMDG Staff. There has never been a time when Robert and PMDG staff has delivered an inferior product. All of the wonderful birds that I am so proud to own are the best in the business and I for one can not wait to see the level of detail PMDG has given to the 737NGX. It blows my mind when I hear the details of how Robert and his team have come in terms of making this aircraft a masterpiece to an already wonderful line of aircrafts and when I heard Robert mention, "Certified", I could only imagine the level of perfection. You guys have a wonderful team of experts and I would be honored to own this bird, when it is released. I have no problem with you guys delaying the product just to get it perfect, as always. PMDG has set new standards and then broken them too, with new and innovative products. This shows their dedication to us all, the flightsim community. Guys, sit back and relax until this bird is pushed out of the hanger. PMDG and Robert, Thank you for being so dedicated to this product.
May 28, 201115 yr I can't bear to see another petulant rant regarding the NGX. As one that sneaks through the forums while I am at work, I would rather wait for a release announcement.I am patiently awaiting the NGX...
May 28, 201115 yr I think its funny that every time there is an update you get 4 or 5 pages of "wow, thanks, keep up the good work, etc." then all the negativity/release date crap starts up again.. look at every update thred and it is the same pattern every single time. People are far too stressed out about this aircraft, stress kills. go out and enjoy life, there is much more to life than fs, I know its a hobby that we all love but people need to just chill out about it. May 28, 201115 yr I am as patient as the next fellow...but is has been a long wait:) But there s not a damn thing we can do about it. I have managed to get pc fps up considerably with the extra idle time, so happy with that:) It is amazing how many things you can customize in FSX. It is not a half bad program when you think about all you can add and change with it. Simon
May 29, 201115 yr All I ask guys is PLEASE let go of the Release dates questions, the You broke your promise statements, I am going to buy another product comments.
