Featured Replies

Hey PMDG,In celebration of the U.S.'s 4th of July, how about a pic of the NGX doing a fly-by of Mount Rushmore in South Dakota? There now and and I think your fly-by would put a big smile on their faces!!Happy Independece Day!!!

They should make a repaint for the C-40 Clipper too.

Technically second, if that overhead pic really is from a 6 or 7.

Oh yea, I just saw that post before my post here, was wondering when someone was going to correct me!That very well could have been the official 1st shot of Shorty. One more thing I just thought of, the 800/900 has a trim air switch on the overhead, whereas the 600/700 doesn't.Does the aforementioned VC shot show those clues?I'm dying to see the outside though. I also hope they model the engine sound being louder in the cockpit in the shorter frames, vs the the longer 800-900 models. Knowing PMDG's propensity for dead-on realism, I know that is likely the case!

Necroposting is frowned upon by, probably most. In some forums, it can even get you banned. What little order there is on the internet is built around forum etiquette. That being do not type in all caps, spamming a board to get people to follow you to a different board, excessive bumping. Necroposting falls into that category.

Necroposting or the concept thereof, is by far the stupidest of all a forum could conceive. Frowned upon by idiots perhaps. Here you have someone that posted a post with enthusiasm and in good nature in the correct post to post it in. Would you rather he started a new topic about his reply? He did everything 100% correct and was met with attitude. Why? Because the last post was a "little" dated? As for issues, I much rather someone tag on their findings on old topics. Hell, look at forum rules and moderators all over message boards. Some sit there and yell at you for posting a duplicate post, while that same idiot later that day gives someone crap for posting on an old thread then locking it <queue the moderators>. People have no idea what it is they want and just want to give innocent people a hard time, NOTHING more (oops, all caps, necroposting?, no it isn't, it's just dumb). One thing I hate about forums is everyone wants to put someone down for nothing. Why? It's so much easier to be nice to one another. Does seeing an old topic mean it's a dead conversation? Maybe to you, not to many of us. To you and others like you though, it's a chance to bully the guy with 15 posts. Yay, you. Kind of odd that you are so against it all of a sudden.Show me a single forum out there that doesn't push the "USE THE SEARCH" function. Some forums will even temporary ban a person for it. So many people out their are afraid to post due to not wanting to be scolded for not knowing what they should because there are too many contradictions, way too many. I hope he does post his shot, even 3 years from now, and major kudos to him if he digs up this thread to do it in because that is the way you're suppose to do it. Forum etiquette is being nice to each other and helping each other out, and of course sharing our hobby. It's also helping people learn the rules, not jumping on them for it. Necroposting is a dying term and it's about time. The topic's about "Mt. Rushmore" for peat sakes,,, what would you rather him do? Open a new thread titled "My shots at Mt. Rushmore, to then only have some other reject come along and tell him "There's already a thread on that..." you people make no sense at all. Just something to squash on the new guy, your pathetic. Hope your "Post count" helps you sleep good at night, because people like you that allow it to hypnotize you to spew crap like you spewed have little else it seems.Examples of idiot mods:One, = I spent the night searching for an answer to this issue and the last person was on to something, but a moderator thought it was bad to post new info on an old topic. This still is the only topic that comes remotely close to the answer. I guess someone needs to ask it all over again. Knowledge-base broken! This is no surprise, we've all ran into this wall and hated it, but how soon we forget and become so hypocritical. Two = same idiocy as one.Three = This one sort of makes sense since the poster is asking someone after 7 years if they resolved it, but more often than not they are just adding good information or keeping something alive that's still in question. A New topic on subject just adds another to the list to sift through.I think I've made my points.
