July 8, 201114 yr To the "Lady" on the flight going from MSP-SFO, sitting row 23 the other night (if you happen to read this). I was sitting two rows behind you reading on my ipad. You were asleep and let out the most disgusting fart I have ever heard (even over the muffled sound of engines, air conditioning and passenger chit-chat), and smelled. In fact the stench was so bad, me and the other passengers behind you were pretty sure you crapped your pants. While you blissfully slept, your fellow passengers endured a full 7-8 minutes of hell as we were strapped into our seats and unable to escape it the poisoned air.
July 8, 201114 yr Sheesh... couldn't even open a window.Lucky for you the pilot was the other side of a locked door. Where's the marshal when you need one? There's something very amusing about the word 'stench'. Especially when it happens to someone else.

July 10, 201114 yr I am lucky. If I turn on the recirculating fan then it sucks my fart down to my feet and through the filters and back out into the cabin nice and fresh. haha Chris Miller
July 10, 201114 yr I am lucky. If I turn on the recirculating fan then it sucks my fart down to my feet and through the filters and back out into the cabin nice and fresh. hahaGot HEPA filters on ur plane? :( They should do the job...
July 10, 201114 yr Got HEPA filters on ur plane? :( They should do the job...No they won't, we're talking gas here (mainly H2S - Hydrogen Sulfide), not particles. :(FWIW:H2S is a lethal gas in sufficient concentration, so the TSA ought to be alerted so they can add the appropriate tests to check passengers for any gas emanations prior to boarding, Humans are responsible for 10% of H2S globally released into the atmosphere, and The human body uses H2S as a signalling agent in the brain where it increases the response of the NMDA receptor and facilitates long term potentiation involved in the formation of memory ... ... which is why nearby psasengers will remember the lady in Row 23 for a very, very long time!Cheers,- jahman.
July 11, 201114 yr Author LOL! Funny replies. Yeah, it was pretty bad. On a sidenote, I am now afraid to fall asleep for fear that I could do the same thing. No exciting meals before flying anymore for me!
July 11, 201114 yr LOL, this is the funniest airline story I've heard in a while! See You In The Skies...gman!"Impossible things are simply those which so far have never been done." - Elbert Hubbard

July 13, 201114 yr No they won't, we're talking gas here (mainly H2S - Hydrogen Sulfide), not particles. :(Ohh, yes you might be right. I just heard so often the filters would filter out odors as well, but you are right, I don't know what happens if gases cause them. :(
July 13, 201114 yr "..filter out odors as well.."Activated charcoal's yer man for that..EDIT: Incidentally, does she know the man in seat 61?http://www.seat61.com/
