Thanks, WoodyWoody and all those who ask these kinds of questions, no offence intended but what kind of simulator do you want from PMDG? One that accurately replicates the flying characteristics and various mechanical, electronic, hydraulic and computer systems of the real NG? Or would you prefer a simulator that will take animations away such as flaps, ailerons, extending/retracting landing gear so we can have emergency slides, a RAT (even though the NG doesn't have one) and maybe even the random lodging of a pelican in the nose cone as a result of a bird strike? They are making an aircraft simulation, not a disaster/crash simuiation. I agree with Kylan - this is way past ridiculous. Matthew Bellette

July 15, 201114 yr Moderator Aerosoft sells USB emergency slides. The problem with Aerosofts slides is that they dont come with mip maps, which makes it feel like your sliding down a saw tooth blade.I much prefer the USB e-slides at Flight1 that come with mips and have a 30 day refund if not satisfied.Sean Campbell Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

I just thought that PMDG might also add this feature. But your right about taking such animations away. And this not being a crash simulator. I guess I'm just exited about the release of this aircraft. Regards, Woody Stratton Mills
July 15, 201114 yr You just have to remember they have a finite level of animations they can include and once they reach that level, it's all about prioritising and choosing which to include and which not to include. For example, I'd rather have working retractable stairs than emergency slides simply because the retractable stairs are used regularly while the slides might never be used for any reason on the aircraft other than maintenance checks to ensure they work properly.
