July 31, 201114 yr Robert is the pope of PMDG. In fact, look for the white smoke coming from the chimney the day the NGX is released, and he'll be there. Chidiebere Anyahara
July 31, 201114 yr circuit brakers. What is a circuit braker?Really Michal, don't you mean circuit breaker. For such an expert on everything obviously spelling is not your specialty. Andrew Dixon"If common sense was compulsory everyone would have it but I am afraid this is not the case"
July 31, 201114 yr I think when PMDG does the 777 and the remake of the 747 they should have the full cabin with PTVs that can be operated. Its the way to pass time when flying long haul Joe Barton
July 31, 201114 yr Whilst Alaska's Juneau RNP approaches might be proprietary and unavailable to mere simmers, the RNP approaches to Queenstown, NZ are available on the NZ AIP. For example, the RNAV (RNP) Z RWY 5 & 25. This is an awesome approach IRL - and regularly flown by the NG. The problem is that most of the waypoints are not in the database. Is there a way to identify the co-ordinates of the missing ones and create custom waypoints? Jeff Hunter Jeff Hunter
July 31, 201114 yr Is there a way to identify the co-ordinates of the missing ones and create custom waypoints? There is probably a way but not sure what good it would do to you if you had raw numbers.Unless you somehow tell FMS that all these waypoints constitute a full RNP procedure - they would be handled the same way as any other waypoint and you won't get this typical approach sensitivity scaling which happens during all precision approaches. And then your flight control software must be able to handle all the turns with proper anticipation, etc, this is where things can become nasty. You get the same problem with modeling GPS-WAAS approaches in FSX. Aside from Juneau, there are many publicly available RNP approaches in the US (many websites have them) - Palm Springs probably is the most exciting of them all. Michael J.

Dont pick on people, cause when it's your turn, we are all going to take a laugh. EDIT : (Forgot about topic ;) )It's amazing the detail this jet has, PMDG has kept their promises I kind of feel bad for the guys who couldn't wait and wasted their money....
