low downloading speed when NGX released ?

Featured Replies

after some minutes when the NGX is released i think the downloading speed is slow cause hundreds maybe thousands of people will be downloading it ...

Point of this thread...??
+1 Lots of pointless and repetitive threads lately

Would be great if they used BitTorrent in that case, as many Linux dists do.Max Persson

Perhaps as his native tongue is not English he is asking if anything has been done to cope with the massive amount of people who may all be trying to download the 737 NGX at the same time. Yes mate, PMDG have worked on the server so that it should cope better with lots of people attempting to download it, don`t worry.

Have you ever been at the department store during the Christmas rush when they only allow about 80 through the door at the same time and the rest have to wait outside?Well with PMDG, you don't have to worry about that. They will open the door and it will be a massive "Free-For-All-Every-Man-For-Himself"!!"Hey, that's my NGX!!...Get your hands off of that..Ouch!! quit hitting me with the box, Security!...Security!!..." I'm just kidding. Seriously from what I've heard, they have beefed up the web store to handle the mob.(just keep your hands off of my NGX Shocked.gif )

I like how the atmosphere here's all friendly and stuff.... What if this was like a real supermarket, and PMDG would say: "We're sorry, but for the first release we could only put together 10 copies of the NGX. First come, first served". What then, ey?

I don't think you have much to worry about as PMDG is ready for the on-slot.

We're actually going to leave a single copy in a currently undisclosed public location somewhere in the United States....When we release, servers will be shut down, and we'll post the location.

Weird... and here i was thinking the end of the world will be on 22nd December, 2012, not 4th August, 2011... Stampede comes to mind.
