900/WL Models

Featured Replies

I cant get the 900/WL variants to install. After they install, they do not show up in the livery manager. N/M They show up in the sim though...

Same here. If you try to reinstall the liveries, you'll see an overwrite warning since they are already installed. They don't show up in FSX either.

I have a similar problem but it appears to be an issue with some liverys, i get the error failed to load model on both 800 and 900 varients but only on certain liverys. KLM is a problem for me on both models. Also i cannot reinstall as the manager says its already thereStraight%20Face.gif

Are you guys making sure you are installing as "Administrator"?

I have only noticed this on the -900WL model...i will check the others, there is a total of 50 liveries in all and are as follows: -800:5 -800WL:40 -900:1 -900WL:4 Correct me if i am wrong but i downloaded all the liveries and separated. So this should be the right count i will confirm what the manager counts. There is suppose to be 1 livery for -900 There are 4 liveries. These are the counts i see. -8006 -800WL:38 -900:4 -900WL:0 These counts do not inlcude the In-House liveries. Files are redirected to the wrong models. As long as Southwest is not affected, I'm happy. This is just a minor issue I found.

There is also missing two missing liveries on the list. original list should show 50. The one below shows 48.

Hi, Same here, the 800's installed fine. The 900's install correctly according to the manager, but no liveries and no changes to the aircraft.cfg file.

Hi, OK, I see what happened. The manager installs the aircraft to the 900 directory but does not add the liveries to the 900 aircraft.cfg file, that's why the aircraft never show in FSX. I guess in a way that's good because you don't have to erase anything in the 900 aircraft.cfg file. I manually fixed the problem by moving the livery folders from the 900 into the 900WL folders. Once that was complete, I manually edited the 900WL aircraft.cfg file and added the aircraft. Everything is good now.

Thanks for the input. I will also correct the liveries soon, right now I'm reading the manuals to get familiar with this aircraft. its a very informative read so far.

There were some last minute errors made on our part with a few of the 900 liveries. We'll have fresh ones uploaded by tomorrow sometime. Sorry about the inconvenience.

Looking into reports about some of the 800 ones as well. (this is my fault, I was building these on about 2 hours of sleep the other night).

Its no problem at all. It's usually fixable. That's why I mentioned it as a minor problem. But i guess it won't matter me asking this but, if in case its a problem in the future I will ask anyway. "Each livery comes with a pre-defined definition ini file that defines all ofthe options related to that particular airplane. The file is fully editable. The definition file is named to match the tail number on the livery and getscopied to the <fsx root>/PMDG/PMDG 737 NGX/Aircraft folder by thelivery installer. A backup original copy is left in the texture folder so thatyou can use the AIRCRAFT menu to revert to the original configurationfile if you make changes that you no longer wish to keep." This is from the aircraft configuration section on the CDU. My question is, will a mistake in the liveries affect the aircraft settings on a specific tail number? Will the settings be dependent on file placement from livery manager. Again I'm just curious to know what to look for in case i have to rectify the file quickly (If my question is not clear enough, i will rephrase when i can). Oh thanks for providing with a amazing aircraft...I know just how you must feel right now. Good luck to you guys! Hope you guys get some rest soon.

Just for the record, I just tried to install the UA merger 900WL livery and it installed into the 900 instead. Tried it three times. I manually edited the aircraft.cfg, by cutting and pasting the relevant part of the aircraft.cfg from 900 to 900 and then moved the texture folder as well. LIvery shows up properly now in the Livery Manager. Also got the read only problem but that was easy to fix. The UA merger 800WL installed just fine.

Not working for me too. The -800 and -900 liveries are ok, but the -800WL and -900WL are not installing for me.
