2D Panel--IflyVc Panel--PmdgFlight Dynamics---Pmdg, by farSystem modeled reality-----PmdgFMS-------PmdgModel Quality-----EqualFrame Rate-------Slight edge to ifly, not significantValue ( Cost vs Benefit)----going to have to give it to iFly Based on Ifly 4 models @ 55.00. PMDG 4 models @ 95.00 If iFly is a high end product. The PMDG is a super High end product. Be the judge Nouthing more than an opinion similiar to a Stock brokers advice these days :)
@MindYerbeak Maybe if you had initially phrased your OP a bit better it would not have come out as taking a cheap shot at iFly and thus spiked a few reactions. But you got there in the end, i.e. comparisons

Are you insane? Nothing about his OP can be construed as a cheap shot against ifly. You and people like you need to RELAX.

"Thanks ifly for trying and thanks pmdg for succeeding."

  • Sounds like a cheap shot to me!

OK my quick comparison:iFly is better value for money if you want types and systems that are good. It also has better frames in VC. Spot and 2D are same, even PMDG has better 2D.PMDG is way more value for money. It has lower performance in VC, but it's clear why.Things like FMC-Setup on-the-fly are for me winners. I still didn't fly it a lot, so I can't say much about that, but I tried a quick circuit, and it was beautiful. It handles great. And I LOVE the smooth movement of throttlelevers, FINALLY someone who managed doing that beside Microsoft default aircraft...

After weeks, err months..... years, of hyping this, anyone who thinks this launched without issues should wander over to the PMDG forum. I'll be off flying my QW 757 while the bugs are getting worked out laugh.png

You own both 737s and you tested both. Do you find the ifly performs better on your computer and/or would you say that it is in general better than the pmdg ? I own both the 737ng versions- I have to say that I just tested the pmdg and it was love at first sight. It performs and looks great on my machine. The ifly however good it may be is simply no match and not even close to being a competitor imo. Thanks ifly for trying and thanks pmdg for succeeding.
I own both and on my system I am getting better frame rates with the NGX..I agree that the PMDG plane is the 737 too have. I am surprised some people are getting better frames with the IFLY.. On my system it's pretty close but I get slightly better frames with the PMDG and significant;y better frames with the mouse on the screen with the PMDG

The plane is fine, So far I have not found any issues. The issue was buying it and getting a download link. BTW show me a complex add-on that had no issues at all for anybody on release.. Yeah I thought so.. never has happened If simplified is your thing go have fun with your QW 757 it's not my cup of tea so I can't even comment on how the launch for that plane went....

As a satisfied iFly owner, I look forward to hearing about what (specifically) is better about the PMDG...will help me make a decision on whether to make that investment or not. Thank you.
