ifly and pmdg owners

Featured Replies

You own both 737s and you tested both. Do you find the ifly performs better on your computer and/or would you say that it is in general better than the pmdg ? I own both the 737ng versions- I have to say that I just tested the pmdg and it was love at first sight. It performs and looks great on my machine. The ifly however good it may be is simply no match and not even close to being a competitor imo. Thanks ifly for trying and thanks pmdg for succeeding.

Thanks, this is the kind of info/opinion I was looking for !
Another troll looking to stir things up.
I'm just looking for opinions if this thread does not interest you you can troll somewhere else.

We don't need to over react here. I would like more detailed reports of people who own both.

Same here. I think a lot of people are looking for a direct comparison between the two products.

I bought the Ifly before and now the NGX. I will never go back.

The iFly model on all accounts is still outstanding and they succeeded in their efforts. To break it down between the two is simply: 1. iFly at this point is for those still using FS9, don't have the cash for a complete hardware upgrade to accommodate FSX, and/or holding out for Flight 2. PMDG's 737 is for those already using FSX, period. Both products are great and it's true the PMDG offering has many advances over the iFly model. Both products are great but it all boils down to a person's specific setup, hardware, and ability to support which product. I don't count one better than the other. You either take the New Lexis if you can afford it or the new Honda Accord; both are great products in the end and get the job done based on where you at in life. I'm just glade we have options, much thanks goes to iFly for giving us that.

its safe to say that if you want a true to life simulation of the 737 NG. PMDG is the way to go. It has things that make you fly the plane by the book or else it will let you know. You cant say ifly is more cost effiecent than the PMDG becasue its 40 bucks cheaper. You are getting so much more for the extra 40 bucks. i cant rent a Cessna 210 for $185/wet an hr. I can also rent a Cessna 310 for $200/wet an hr. Even though the 310 is 15 bucks more, I cant say that the 210 is more cost effiencent becasue of the price margin. I get so much more for my extra 15 bucks an hr. Just like a user gets so much more for 40 bucks.

excellent question mind yer beak, i own neither product and im interested in views from owners of both products, i can read tame reviews on flight sim products from advertiser revenue winners on flight sim websites which bask in the glory of poor payware products that gloss over problems and hype the hype up. ignore the spoilers who want to stop such debate.

HelloIf you own both, why do you need opinions?
Cuz he is himself unsure which one is better, the same like I'm torn between FS9 and FSX.

its seemed like forever waiting for the pmdg launch and after all the speculation about the product and how it will compare with ifly, real opinions from those who have used both can now be read , unofrtunately the thread starter with a very topical question that most simmers are keen to know more about gets bashed. good grief.
