I too have an issue but mine is sitting on 26R at EGKK and putting in EHRD as a destination. Once I enter the SID and STAR and get through to the reference speeds most things stop working. However if I start at one of the gates it works fine.

I have found a temporary solution insert sid and star normally but you have to enter every fix from legs and not to use VIA -> WPT in RTE. Inserting every fix the fmgc doesn't crash

There is an high freeze probability adding mid long routes in the CDU using the RTE page. The same route inserted with legs fix by fix doesn't cause freeze. I have found that short route like tutorial doesn't cause this problem I wish this could help investigating

whilst we experience CDU/FSX lockups completing the PERF INIT page on 'various' routes I believe this is a seperate issue to the topic posted here. Not sure your RTE length theory is correct as for example EGGW CLN7B/RWY26 CLN UL620 ARNEM UP147 RKN UL980 OSN R15 BASUM T820 PIXUR 127/BMN trans EDDW works out just fine. However EGSS CLN UL620 ARNEM UP147 RKN UL980 OSN I27L EDDV locks up on FL entry, the plan with less waypoint entries. Totally frustrating as it's impossible to tell which routes will fail! Have you raised a ticket on the issue?

Also I had this Issue during insert a STAR for RWY24 at EDDK during Cruise. After Inserting and Execute the KOPAG24 STAR, all Displays start to freeze. After a few Seconds I got the message from FSX "Overspeed", a few Seconds later my aircraft has been destroyed causing Overspeed.A few days ago, during loading from FSX Menu a Flight with the NGX at Gate D3 from EDDK, it crashed during loading at 42% with a Error PMDG737NGX.Dll. I can reproduce this panel freeze EVERY time now at default FSX EDDF. Trying to post in the support system but can't get in yet.. Basically set up NGX 800WL with UA colors aircraft at EDDF Gate C11 in 2D panel. Everything works normally. Set up ground power and all that, access and fiddle with the overheads, setup overhead, start IRS aligning, and begin to set up a route in the FMC to ENZV. Enter EDDF and ENZV to the ROUTE page, then Select Rwy 18, MARU1S departure, don't execute, go to the LEGS page to have a look and Whamo, no altitudes, go to the Setup doors page, page blank, try to change the heading, speeds or altitude, nothing. Panel is frozen up in the way many have mentioned. I tried this 5 times in a row, restarting FSX each time. Might be helpful for those trying to get a reproducible crash system to test. This has to be an airac issue. Intel Duo 1.66 GHz, 2GB RAM, ATI x1400 512MB card, WinXP 32 bit, REX2, FSGenesis mesh, GEX UTX, FSUIPC--wind smoothing only, Scenery Tech, Logitech Extreme3D Pro joysitck.

Are you loading a saved panel state to do this?

I use the Long turn panel state for the livery I am using (I only have one livery UA merge). The first 3 -4 times I started the flight from scratch and got the crash. Then I tried starting a saved flight (didn't have the route or any of that saved) so that I didn't have to reload the location, time, and all that and it fialed a few more times. One time I actually got the route in completely. But once I went to the LEgs page it wold freeze up. Coincidently, after I posted the post above, I restarted from a saved flight and actually managed to do the flight. So I guess I am not totally sure what the deal is. Maybe it has to do with the exact sequence of things, buttons and switches that I am using/doing or how exaclty I am starting up the flight.
