@Albert,enter the CDU =>FS Actions => Pushback. This worked for me on the 800WL variant.

I've had the brake fade thing by slamming on the brakes to max on a high weight landing and not using the reversers (just to see what happens). No brakes at all by the end of the rollout! Got the temp up to 10.0. Then, however, I did a turn around on the runway and departed straight out, but left the gear down to see if the temp would fall due to the airflow over the wheels (as per sop in the real world) - but no drop in temp. Perhaps a step too far for a sim? Rob

Same here, like rlyddy. After autoland, stand on the runway and my brake button (. key) is dead, can only brake with ctrl-., the button on my joystick for the brakes is dead too.Have make this flight now 2 times, one with steel- and one with carbonbrakes, no change. I check at my next flight, a land without autobrake enabled... (all good thinks are three Just Kidding.gif )

Okay, have make flight nr. 3, autoland with no autobrakes enabled, after touchdown, reverse and manual brake and it works !! So, there is a bug with the autobrakes, but a easy way to handle this before any patch release.

I had the same problem last night. Just like Albert descibed but I switched autobrake off at 25 knots and took a high speed turn off. Brakes released and I taxied to the ramp. Problem was they released and never came back. I had 2 active brake failures. I will leave the autobrakes disabled until this is figured out.

Have flight the route above with the 737-900 and here the autobrakes and the manual brakes works to 100%, so it's must be a bug only at the 737-800

I Have the same problem with the 737-800.I hope PMDG fix it.

This exact brake thing happened to me last night also. Made 4 flights so far with no problems. This was the first time I used Autobrake 2.

Guys are you reading the Manuals? Do you know that when you load the plane at the gate the wheels are chocked and that you have to use the FMC options to remove the chocks before you can push back? It also says to release the Auto Brakes you must Tap your Toe Brakes twice real fast and then third time hold it down steady until it releases. If you do not have a set of rudder pedals with toe brakes and are using a button then try tapping it twice real fast and then hold it down? If your taxing back to the gate with your autobrakes still engaged your probably burning up the brakes?

Paul Deemer

Well, "In the PMDG 737NGX we have an option that allows you to placechocks under the wheels in order to hold the airplane in place".......Request pusback that the ground guys help you with this!

This isn't about the chocks. You let the chocks off at the start of your flight or you don't go anywhere. This is about landing and rollout. I'll try and do as manual suggests re, tapping the brakes. I guess I was so excited with the beautiful landing that I rushed it :-)

I haven't noticed this yet.. But I HAVE noticed that I get no brake temperature increase, even after a manual braking after touchdown still no sign of temperature increase. They all remain at 0 across the board... strange.

Hardware Toe Brakes Users: If you use hardware toe brakes such as

those created by CH Products, we would like you to be aware that in

order to implement the proper “tripping off” of the auto-brake system, we

had to put some limitations in place in order to prevent the inherent FSX

logic from inadvertently taking over the autobrake release logic

inappropriately:

To release the autobrake with your hardware toe brakes you must:

Apply the brakes twice, quickly and….

Apply greater pressure than the autobrake is currently applying.

This is different than the brake-directed disengage function on theairplane, but it was unavoidable.

Paul Deemer

so.. there will be no fix because it brakes your FSX work around - is that correct? We just need to remember the braking routine?

Excactly the same problem happened to me also on landing. Had to set parking brake and release for taxiing, but no more brakes after that. Jos DenisEBBR
