August 7, 201114 yr Hi there, First of all many thanks to the whole PMDG team for the fantastic materialization of the 737NG into FSX.Its pure fun to fly and its depth exceeds my expectations by far with much more to come. However I struggle with a serious problem which occurs frequently and I cannot resolve it by myself so far. I am taking a short trip from KPDX to KSEA with the Southwest 737NGX-800WL. All preperations on the groundand takeoff always work fine without any problems. But after few minutes in the air I frequently encounter a CTD.I have the feeling that it happens when dealing with the autopilot knobs. Last time it happened whentrying to set VS rate for a decent. Suddently everything stopped and after few seconds...the uglyfsx.exe application crash screen. The details or the app crash are related to : - g3d.dll- LCID 1031 I have the following environment : Win7-64, 16GB RAM, i7-2600k, 4.7Ghz, Nvidia 560Ti, using FPS limiter, fresh install FSX+SP2+XP, REX2, FTX NA: CRM/NRM/PNW Anyone out there who has an idea what could be wrong and how to resolve it ?Followed the hints in the NGX introduction guide but it did not help. Also reinstalled the NGX liveries with the current ones.I am running out of ideas...Beside this it runs like a dream. Thanks for your help! Cheers,Jaro
August 7, 201114 yr Try another route... My pmdg always crashes around ksea after a few minutes. I chalked it up to using orbx.I wanted to fly kpae to ksfo, tried several times. Decided to do a ksfo klax run, no problems at all. I left it at that because I'm afk for several weeks.
August 7, 201114 yr Commercial Member Are you using AES? Is it fully updated with the latest patches or service packs? ( was following this thread here ) Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
August 7, 201114 yr Author Nope, no AES installed.3rd parties installed are only REX2 (overdrive) + complete FTX NA and Aussieland (current patch levels). In the next step I will fly another routes in NA and AUS to check if this might be somehow related to the KSEA area.
August 7, 201114 yr Author Oki, FYI, looks like my CTD problem is actually related to the KPDX-KSEA route.Just finished YSCB-YMML without any problems at all.
August 7, 201114 yr I had that exact same crash between vancouver and seattle on a PAKT-KBOI route. It is likely related to the seattle area with FTX PNW. -stefan
September 12, 201114 yr Just did a flight from EHAM-ESSA and i had a CTD in FL080 outbound TRS and indbound 383ERK with a VAS off 3.400.000kb. I also have the fault module g3d.dll Any ideers? /Michael Michael Moe
November 28, 201114 yr I had that exact same crash between vancouver and seattle on a PAKT-KBOI route. It is likely related to the seattle area with FTX PNW.-stefanVisit the ORBX support page (I think it's on their website) there is a file at the bottom that is marked "Run me last" that will re-coordinate the sceneries if I am remembering correctly. I think it might help. Also I have discovered I get CTD if I have 'display weather' enabled in FS Commander and ALSO use REX 2.0 OD real-time weather during a flight. If I turn off FS Commander completely, I do NOT get the CTD.Of course if you're not using FS Commander, that idea won't help, but I would still recommend the "run me last" file from Orbx.HTH. R. November 29, 201114 yr CTD today flying from VHHH to YPDN (? or something like that). Descending through 8000 and sound started cracking and then a total crash to re-boot. Mentioned that a PCI fatal error occurred. Never saw this type of crash yet...... December 6, 201114 yr For me the new version of FSUIPC is definetly the solution for the g3d.dll-problem.I had always ctd`s on the route EGLL-EDDL between the waypoints XAMOD and BOT in a short distance to EDDL (Düsseldorf) with the 737NGX (only this aircraft and all hotfixes and SP1).Now, the problem doesn`t exist anymore!Thank you, well done Pete!!!!Lars
