I have found a solution to fix this problem, I replaced two sections in the aircraft config file from the old config file before the hotfix was aplied.seems like they have changed the positions of the light with the hotfix, no wonder the aircraft nose lit up instead of the cockpit. This may cause something else to not work instead, havnt found any issues yet. Ony for -800 models! This is the one after hotfix is aplied, it doesnt work for me.

[LIGHTS]//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing, 6=taxi, 7=recognition, 8=wing, 9=logo, 10=cabinlight.0 = 4, 51.500, 0.0, 5.500, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclightlight.1 = 4, 50.000, 0.0, 4.500, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclight [sMOKESYSTEM]smoke.0 = 50.500, 00.000, 5.000, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclightsmoke.1 = 51.500, -1.000, 5.000, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclightsmoke.2 = 51.500, 1.000, 5.000, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclight
this is the one before the hotfix, works properly.

Well I guess some people are having problems with the Light and others are not. Weird. I did not do anything special, just uninstalled my liveries, install hotfix, reinstall liveries. Loaded up FSX went to EGCC and loaded up the NGX LONG panel state. After that, power up APU and enable Generators so the aircraft has power and the emergency lights go out. Then flip the overhead Dome Switch and Viola it lights everything up.

I haven't had any panel freezes since the first hot fix... I'm hesitant to install this one and will probably just wait for SP1.

have you folowed the instructions in this thread "Livery and Livery Manager issues - how to resolve" ?

This is weird it doesn't seem that all 4 Aircraft.cfgs were updated in the latest hotfix. NGX800 Current with Build: 1.00.2916NGX800WL Current with Build: 1.00.2888NGX900 Current with Build: 1.00.2916NGX900WL Current with Build: 1.00.2888 So it looks as though the Non Winglet Models were updated but the Winglets Models were not?

Svettski I am not having any problem with the Dome Light. Other people are thats what makes it curious.

I don't have problems with the dome light with any hotfixes either.

I know that you dont have any problem with the light, the thing is that if you have followed the livery issue intructions, you will be prompted to download new aircraft config files, which at the moment is the old version 1.00.2888.The dome light works proberly with those config files. Edit: All my config files where updated to 1.00.2916 after i installed the hotfix

Guys, check your landing lights as well. Those are screwed up for me (back to "default"). Also, the color of the Main Panel lights (integral lighting) is whiter than before. I backed up my accumulated times and reinstalled the NGX, hot fix, liveries, and it's back to normal. Took 5 minutes.

Installed the hotfix today. Dome light gone!Want your dome light back in the 800WL? Try this: in aircraft.cfg, find these lines: [LIGHTS]//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing, 6=taxi, 7=recognition, 8=wing, 9=logo, 10=cabinlight.0 = 4, 51.500, 0.0, 5.500, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclightlight.1 = 4, 50.000, 0.0, 4.500, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclight Replace the last two lines with these ones (from the pre-hotfix cfg): light.0 = 4, 47.000, 0.0, 5.500, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclightlight.1 = 4, 45.500, 0.0, 4.500, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclight And voilà! Dome light is back. I think I had seen a difference between bright and dim dome light before the hotfix. That difference seems to be gone.

hey guys, what's the version of your aircraft.cfg file for the 800WL after HotFix 2?Mine reads:"Current with Build: 1.00.2904 - Hot Fix" But the rest (800, 900, 900WL) read:"Current with Build: 1.00.2916 - Hot Fix" I re-applied the patch and nothing. Please let me know if it's just me.thanksEnrique Vaamonde

I did a test on the 800NGX 800NGXWL 900NGX 900NGXWL and in all of them the dome light worked but not on the 900NGXWL. Found out the reason why was because the 900NGXWL was missing some lines in the aircraft.cfg file under Lights. Copied the lighting text from the 900NGX to the 900NGXWL and everything worked fine then. If you compare the aircraft.cfg file for the 900NGX and 900NGXWL you will see several lines are missing and that is why they probably want you to upgrade your Aircraft.cfg files. //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing, 6=taxi, 7=recognition, 8=wing, 9=logo, 10=cabinlight.0 = 4, 51.500, 0.0, 5.500, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclightlight.1 = 4, 50.000, 0.0, 4.500, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclight [sMOKESYSTEM]smoke.0 = 50.500, 00.000, 5.000, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclightsmoke.1 = 51.500, -1.000, 5.000, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclightsmoke.2 = 51.500, 1.000, 5.000, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclight

you forgot to replace the last section here is how it should look: For the -800 model only!
[LIGHTS]//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing, 6=taxi, 7=recognition, 8=wing, 9=logo, 10=cabinlight.0 = 4, 47.000, 0.0, 5.500, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclightlight.1 = 4, 45.500, 0.0, 4.500, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclight [sMOKESYSTEM]smoke.0 = 46.000, 00.000, 5.000, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclightsmoke.1 = 47.000, -1.000, 5.000, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclightsmoke.2 = 47.000, 1.000, 5.000, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclight
