August 19, 201114 yr Always starting on the runway with the engines running. Otherwise too much time for flight dynamics development would be lost :(
August 19, 201114 yr My flight starts off in Slew Mode with the aircraft (always a default FSX one) situated in the area of whatever scenery location I am developing at the time. If I taxi it is only to check for any object crashes that have to be corrected in that location. Regards, Mike Mann Mike Mann
August 19, 201114 yr I was wondering how many of you did the whole bit, you know, taxi to the runway, take off, taxi off the runway to the gate or parking? Are u kidding? That ain´t a question. :( Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
August 19, 201114 yr Cold and dark at the gate to shut down. Sometimes if I am tired, I will end the flight when I exit the runway after landing. I usually fly after my wife goes to bed which can produce some late nights. I always use ASE and AES (where available, looking forward to GSX). I try to pick airports with interesting rw weather. In addition, I always fly semi-realistic routes - meaning I wouldn't fly an American 757 from KDTW to TJSJ or a United A320 from KMDW to KPHX. That's why I always request charter paints on various forums - it opens up a lot more options for me. Since weather (and add on scenery) is a big determinant for me, I have imported all of the airports in the world in to Google Earth (download of .kml: http://bbs.keyhole.c...ite_id=1#import). When I add a new scenery file, I enable that airport in "My Places" within GE. I have weather enabled in GE so with a quick glance I can see where airports exist that have add on scenery and interesting weather. August 19, 201114 yr Gate to gate, start warm with either APU running or external power and air. I usually allow time for passanger boarding and FMC programming. Ed Kammerman
