MD-11 issue

Featured Replies

Hello, I am experiencing an issue with the MD-11 and other aircraft. If I am flying a complex aircraft and have a lot of the instrumentation in view, and I select a drop-down menu in the full-screen mode, I often receive a CTD. Any help towards this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kevin L

Please do not create double threads in future. Do you get an error message?

It is to do with the uiautomationcore.dll I have found. Just google it and there will be lots of links.

the uiautomationcore.dll fix is for Win7 64b. Do a search in the avsim forums, there are numerous threads.

It now works, but there are large X's on the cockpit displays. Is there any solution for this?

Thanks,

PMDG products run best in windowed mode. It has to do with the systems that run outside of the FSX environment.

I had it too. Uninstall the aircraft and reinstall again. (don't forget to uninstall the liveries an re-install them too.)_It should work fine now. Eric

I ran the MD11 smoothly for a while, and now the issue has come back. Should I delete the uiautomationcore.dll?

Thanks,

Kevin L

This issue seems to occur only when I am using add-on liveries.

Ok, I'll try that. Thanks for your help.

It doesn't work. I can fly and program the FMC for about five minutes, and then it just freezes. I am using Windows 7 64-bit, could this be the source of the problem?

Thanks,

Kevin L
