Well, that sucks....but as my primary idea was to build a FSX rig i have no problem with that. For the future we will see, if it really needs HT i will have to change the CPU. :P

Hyper threading. You can't get 2 full cores out of 1 core. It may help with some things but I can't see a spot for it.

Its a gimmick. More physical cores will always be dominant

Hello everyone! Well i got my PC today and....F**** amazing guys! I installed FSX, SP1, SP2 , REX and i used the tweak from *******! Result is FSX max settings, default KLAX airport and i get 50-80 FPS! I was thinking to use an external FPS limiter but we will see. Thanks for all the help again. I am really happy with my buy and...all the above without OC YET tongue.png

Hi A3 610Just noticed your spec as I posted my possible new build. I am looking at basically the same system as yours. Would you mind telling me are the graphics anywhere as good as this guys on youtube ?

Also are you using Windows 7 64 bit ?Thanks Paul

Hi Paul! I saw your build and IMO you will need a 6GB RAM @ 1600 Mhz( they cost is the same as the 1333 Mhz) and for the power supply i have a Thermaltake 750 W and it is good ! Plus yes i have Windows 7 @ 64 bit! I would also reccomend the GTX 560 Ti as the Nvidia cards can handle the clouds a lot better than the ATI cards ! Furthermore, the answer to your question above is YES! With a few tweaks (like the one from ******* Bojote) you will be able to run FSX at pretty high settings if not maxed out ! I am very happy with my buy and i must tell you, as you have almost the same build as me, its worth it! P.s dont forget there is always the possibility to Overclock your CPU and then...well FSX will be better than you ever dreamed of ! For anything else just ask me !

For everyone here criticizing the i7 2600k: The 2600K has Hyper-Threading.The 2600K has 8M cache while 2500K has 6M cacheThe 2600K runs 100 mhz faster than 2500KThe 2600K is an i7 and 2500K is an i5 So, if you can afford the 2600K, get it.It is obviously faster and better chip,

@TheHedgehogPilot Sir, i think you misunderstood the conversation. Of course, the 2600k is better no doubt in that. I prefered the i2500k cause it was less expensive and it seems to have nearly as good performance as the i2600k IF overclocked ! So, no doubt the i2600 is better(HT, its an i7 ecc.) but its more expensive!

I was thinking the same thing lol... When we compare 2500K to 2600K about 99% of the users here are going to overclock, so the chip is nearly the same, but $100 cheaper. Ya ya you get a few extra things but nothing that's going to make a large difference for $100.

This guy had a thread in the PMDG forums asking for advice for his new rig. Many warned him about that and other things but he never listened. He wanted a 2600K no matter what"The 2600K is an i7 and 2500K is an i5" that sums it up pretty well, hahaha

HelloFunny that but my 2500k on my p67 board is obviously going to reach higher speeds than your 2600K on your crap H series board.Talk about clueless LOL.gif

:LMAO: Who cares about 100MHz when you are OCing. The cache doesn't really matter cos you can spend the money on something better, maybe an SSD. And the HT, nothing uses it.

and what about multi-threaded applications, lol, I am still laughing(on myself), anyways I would soon be getting a Z68 motherboard, and the H67, ain't really that bad, it's those intels which made distinctions, I thought that it would be better to use the intel HD 3000 graphics.......... but, yeah, but is but.

if you wanted the HD 3000 so badly then you could have got the 2500k.
