"Shade" for FSX

Recommended Posts

I am a happy user of ´Shade´ but all of a sudden it seems to have turned quiet about this nice piece of software. I don´t see any discussions or updates anymore. Is it me or did it indeed have a short period of attention?Menno

People usually come here and say something when they have problems. I guess no problems with this excellent piece of software. It also seems it's good as it is so no need for constant updates.

Well, I don't post about it because I don't use it anymore.happy.png The effect on the ground was nice, but the effect on the VC and clouds spoiled it all. Imho.

Happily using the set it and forget it here. A nice little product for a nice little price.

I'm very happy with it also. It brings out the best in payware airports, clouds and all scenery in morning and mid afternoon time periods.

I am quite happy with SHADE too. I have it set up to run a different preset for 30 days automatically. So it's an alternative "set it and forget" approach but it renders a different atmospheric effect every day on a monthly basis.

How do you do that Tom? I thought 10 days was the max. I would love to have it setup for 30 days.Thanks.Sam

Hi Jeroen, I am using the BePrepared4 pre-set from the latest version and I feel the VC is nicely lit. Sunny when needed, darker when sun is opposite my flight direction. Try it, you may like it.Menno

Yes Sam, I am that Tom. Glad you like my blog. Actually I am thinking about upgrading to 3 monitors in PLP setup (20"+30"+20"). Still researching if this is possible. Another change being worked on is to further elaborate my flying zone setup. Hope to have that completed in a couple of months.
