Featured Replies

Whenever I try to do a flight over half an hour in the NGX, I get is message: This has never happened to me before and it is very annoying! Some one please help! I dont know the exact specs of my Computer, Quad core AMD processor, 4GB RAM, ATI 4870, Windows 7 64 bit dedicated to Flight Sim. Regards,

The message is an exception in simconnect caused by a call from REX - simconnect is probably overwhelmed by messages... DJ

Thanks, how do I fix that?

If you're using Rex weather engine try disabling it for a few flights & see if that cures it.

Ok, thanks

exactly the same problem I disabled REX. Did 1 flight OK, then it froze again, but this error did not come up since REX was not active.. Hopefully a fix is coming..

Does FSX still use the REX textures even if REX is not open?

Might want to try dropping the REX cloud resolution. Al

some people advise is to drop down this, move this slider here, stop this from running...all this advise is to help run one AC? It seems counter productive to have all these add-ons and not be able to use them to their full potential. I have REX but after reading threads like this I am hesitant to install it. I did install UTX and GEX and have no problems with freezes or crashes and have a great time flying this wonderful AC.My FPS are OK but I don't look at it as long as it runs smooth. And It does. I don't have a kick &@($* setup or even a gaming computer. Just a systems that works together nicely. My specs are Q8400 OCed to 3.0 (a 5% overclock from 2.66..no big deal) ,8gbs of ram and GTS450 running 2x 21.5" displays at 1920x1080.I also have FS Genesis, and My Traffic X waiting to be installed. But I think I should wait since I don't want to push my luck.("if it ain't broke fix it until it is"Worried.gif mentality).Thoughts?

Try them & see. Fsg shouldn't hurt performance all that much & Rex let's you back up your original textures so even if it does hurt performance too much you can revert back to before.

Hi KenHow do you "revert" back to before? I thought REX changes ALL your FSX files. And if the performance hit is only with PMDG then what? I'll try the mesh add-on first...see how it goes.decisions, decisions ,decisions.Shocked.gif

I have REX2 and had the same problem. I uninstalled REX2 and reinstalled it again. At least for me. no more issues. Try that.
