P3D INSTALLATION: questions and issues

Featured Replies

If you'd read my post, you'd see it's nothing to do with my ISP - it's ONLY the P3D download that's doing this.
Oh man, take my posts with some humor!
I'd also be interested to know if the download info on the P3D website for file 2 is correct? It says it's 3.98Gb So far, I've downloaded 4.2Gb of thatShocked.gif
No idea any more. I unpacked the files and deleted originals. They are all now moved in my installation folder, all in one folder. Sorry.

Default aircraft's must not be deleted or removed ???HiQuestion: Has anybody ever deleted one of the default aircrafts, i.e. deleted the aircraft directory with its content ?I experienced a behavior of P3D that looks to me, as if P3D does not allow to delete any of the default aircrafts. As an example; I Deleted the default Piper_J3Cub completely, with its directory. After starting P3D again, a window opens, reading in its title "P3D" and "Please wait while Windows configures P3D", and "Gathering required information" . After approx. 10 minutes, P3D starts normally. After looking into the Airplanes directory; Piper_J3Cub is back again. I need to say that no automatic backup or restore software is installed. Can anybody confirm this behaviour ?Thank youBruno

I have received the solution from a Lockheed Martin developer.I have been advised to delete the P3D shortcut on desktop and to create a new one, if this helps ? YESSS, it does !!! I can now delete default AC's without invoking the "automatic restore" function.Bruno
