Turbulence problems fixed with SP1?

Featured Replies

Hi @ all! We know, there is a problem for the autoflight systems in turbulence-conditions. Especially in combination with ASE.My question: Is this problem solved with SP1? But it is not really funny to flight always without turbulence.

Hi, I think the anqwer will be the same as before: don't blame PMDG, the FSX weather has been coded with a foot.

I do believe PMDG works great I'm using ASE and I've not met any oscillation or problems I could meet with the previous add ons. Maybe it also comes from the latest update of ASE.

I have the problem only on the PMDG 737. It is also written in the ASE manual to reduce turbulence scale etc..I must disable turbulence in the FSUIPC interface to have no more problems when flying PMDG NGX. And when you read simflight.de german PMDG NGX review you can also read about the turbulence problems. The problem still exist. If the problem a FSX problem, then I had also problems with all other aircrafts, but is only on PMDG aircrafts.

Old problem. PMDG says it's ASE, ASE says it's PMDG. Now, go out and play. You can disable turbulence in FSUIPC if you have it and still get turbulence but no strange autopilot behavior.

Best regards, Fritz ESSONO

That's what I did too. No S-Turn.

Hmm when I disable turbulence, then I have no turbulences more. Is that a solution?

What problem are you having exactly? I run ASE and have had no issues with autoflight in turbulence (other than the wind gusting problem).

I'ts the S-Turn issue.

I see, this is a known issue with complex addons and ASE, it doesn't seem to occur on less complex addons. There were settings given by somebody that eliminated the issue with the "S" turn, it also seems to occur only when ASE has direct control of the weather. The settings mentioned above do limit the amount of turbulence experienced but also limit the aggress wind shifting.

Martin, http://forum.avsim.n...t-with-the-ngx/ Follow this thread to it's conclusion. This is as good as you are going to get. Still some realistic turbulences and some really nice weather configs. Good Luck Dennis
Yes, I know this link. Read: SuppressCloudTurbulence=YesSuppressWindTurbulence=YesSuppressWindVariance=Yes It does what it says. It disables the tubulences!

Katja Mueller / LOWK Austria

In fsx.cfg adjust TurbulenceScale to 2.5. Try that. If you still get S-turns or think the turbulence is still too weak, adjust up or down until you get it as close as possible to your liking. That's about all you can do.

Where did you disable turbulence? In FSUIPC?
You can disable turbulence in FSUIPC if you have it and still get turbulence but no strange autopilot behavior.
If you disable it in FSUIPC and not in ASE you'll still get turbulence but no S-turns.Did you even tried it? Edit: Check the above link again. Even if it says "SuppressCloudTurbulence=Yes" it doesn't mean you won't get turbulence. That's the whole point of the thread.
