I hear that constantly but for some AI "Mooney" pilot... It gets tiresome real fast...

I have been using PFE together together with FDC for a number of years now and can highly recommend them. Both programs have been tweaked to work together, have many different English accents and natural sounding real voices. PFE includes a vocal and visual taxi guidance system that can be adjusted to different voices. Yes it takes a little time to understand and set up the flight plans etc, but once it's done it's saved for future use and setting up a new one now I've gotten used to it is painless. A great program with excellent support.

I always hear people talking about RC4 and PFE and I rarely hear people talking about VoxATC, but when they do mention VoxATC its always that its way superior to RC and PFE. Why is it that so few people are talking about VoxATC? I dont have any experience with these programs, I only fly online with real humans manning the ATC (which I would recommend for anyone serious about their hobby :) )
huh, yeah i dunno. i used rc4 for years but i've been flying VoxATC lately and it's pretty darn good..i tried the demo and was impressed enough to buy it. the dynamic sid/star assignment is cool (and the main reason i switched). rc4 is superior in some ways but it's a nice change of pace.i hear what you're sayin about having real humans do the atc. i need to try that one of these days. for me the appeal with AI contolled is that i can time accelerate in cruise, fly to any place i want and still have coverage, and i can also pause the sim if i spill my beer on approach hehe...cheers,-andy crosby
You must remember that the sim is not "real world" If I flew around like that in the real world I would have been struck off eons ago!!!!!!!!!!BIG is actually a mandatory hold "unless" given instructions otherwise by ATC!!vololiberista
How did you convince PFE to follow you into the hold?

I set up BIG as start of STAR "even though it's the end!!!" Although PFE does and can tell you to hold it does appear somewhat random so I turned off that feature. Consequently when I get to BIG I must take up the hold as it is mandatory without ATC instructions. As I turn right PFE ATC acxknowledges and then allows me to approoach the ILS in my own way being of course still in contact with "Approach" or "Tower". Yes it's a bit of a fudge but no current ATC programme seems to allow precise and accurate approaches. The original PF2000 had at least some STAR's but if you activate them PFE ends up confused. But at least it's 100% better than the default ATC!!!vololiberista

Yes, I like PFE a lot. Now I understand, when you do the STAR you are on your own, thats why they let you do.Will try it. However I fly propliners these days, so I often need a hold to slow down, and descend. Good idea to do it your way.
