99.9% of default FSX scenery is entierly procedurally generated.I see no indication that's changed for Flight.
Yes but what I would really like to see is a screenshot that is not Hawaii at some point. Perhaps they do the entire globe again and have premium scenery in some areas like Hawaii.Cheers

The problem with FS is not as much that it has a lot of old code, but rather that there is no one left at MS who wrote the original code and the new people have no hope of understanding more than a small part of it, which they own. This lack of clarity prevents any large scale modifications as it becomes cheaper and faster just to rewrite the thing. The changes made to FS9 have made FSX into a CPU hog that does not seem warranted. This may be because the new code was tacked onto the old instead of doing a wholesale rewrite of selected parts. ACES was reluctant to even touch certain parts - like the weather system - as alluded to by beatle in an old post...nobody wanted to own it.Given this situation, if Flight is an extension of FSX, then we should at least get the old features that we are used to, even if many of them will not be improved. Improve the rendering pipeline, slap on GEX-like and REX-like textures, upgrade the mesh everywhere, do a better job of assigning more varied land classes, fix up Hawaii and the high-detail airports of FSX, add a few more high-detail areas, add more and better missions, a career, fix multi-player and add a store and finally fix the SDK and you have a pretty good candidate for a new version of the game - Flight.

Wrong. The early FAQ on Flight states that the new team has many members of the old team. MS would be insane not to tap into that sort of resources. Its not like the 150 members of Aces fled Washington right after the office closed! Im sure the best members of the team were hand-picked to come back on Flight.

Yes, I read that too, however, a few people who may have worked on what was new code in FSX in 2006 does not change the fact that 95% of the code is a mystery to most of the people who are now working on Flight. Out of the 150 people, how many were actually working on code that matters? ie: not art assets, not user interface, not simconnect, not missions...etc and how many of these people were rehired is the real question.

Whatever that means...Paris Hilton has better PR then you do at this point...LOLWTF does that mean anyways???I live at the bottom of the world my friend...I can't understand your marketing and your product because your marketing makes no sense in this part of the world.REX has a global reach and does very well the world over.CHEERSPS: I looked it up and it doesn't mean anything....I think you need help my friend.PSS: Your best response is to never respond....This is why you fail

You are too funny.I don't work for anyone anymore. So forget about that.I have to use code because "the whole world" has lost it's meaning for some.

So then stop being a Sociopath on the forums and do yourself a favour and take a step back. You are very good at what you do and what you have achieved....Their is a reason why your products don't reach beyond a certain demographic.Take a step back and put you energy beyond your current mindset.Or respond to me again with the same pattern that you have..LOLCheersALL BLACKS are the WORLD CHAMPIONS

Name one really massive feature P3D added in 3 years?
Not sure where you are getting the 3 years value from, it hasn't even been 3 years since ACES closed yet. LM has only had the code for about 16 months, and has put out 3 releases in that timeframe. The two primary features have been a license that allows use in a commercial setting, and the fact that development on the engine is continuing.
This may be because the new code was tacked onto the old instead of doing a wholesale rewrite of selected parts. ACES was reluctant to even touch certain parts - like the weather system - as alluded to by beatle in an old post...nobody wanted to own it.
To be fair, that had nothing to do with old code, new code, hybrid code, etc - nobody has wanted to own the Weather system since at least FS5 (when I first started working on the code) - it's the subsystem itself that no one wants to own, nothing to do with the state of the code (I would hazzard a guess that about 90% of the devs interviewed to work in ACES wanted to work on the DirectX pipeline code - that's what they consider to be "game programming", as opposed to me who works on almost everything else except the DirectX pipeline code - that aversion is related to the years I spent doing direct graphics hardware programming :-> ).
