October 25, 201114 yr I had a lot of IVAP crashes, but they are all gone after HF4. Had nothing to do with the FSUIPC though; that fixes the transponder synchronization between the ngx and ivap.
October 25, 201114 yr i have 2 pc and i have the same config but if IVAP internal (on the computer with FSX full screen) disconnect, then FSX crash. (hotfix 2987) Benard DEVEAUTOUR pmdg's 747 and 737 ngx fan!
October 25, 201114 yr Author i have 2 pc and i have the same config but if IVAP internal (on the computer with FSX full screen) disconnect, then FSX crash. (hotfix 2987)Not sure if I understand what you mean by that, how would you know that IvAp on your FSX PC has disconnected when you're running the user interface on your second PC?Regardless as I said above this kind of setup with IvAp on 2 PCs hasn't given me any crashes or problems. The only issue has been that sometimes IvAp will go online although I have chosen to go offline.
October 26, 201114 yr I have the FSUIPC option under 3rd party tools in IvAp config checked, but when I start IvAp it says it cannot use FSUPIC.Do I do anything wrong? FSUPIC ver 4.60a.Thanks Peter Peter Win10/64/32,0GB, [email protected], Gigabyte 1080ti, P3Dv5.1

October 30, 201114 yr @Webmax do you see ivao traffic with NGX SP1? Peter Win10/64/32,0GB, [email protected], Gigabyte 1080ti, P3Dv5.1
October 30, 201114 yr Author I do see IVAO traffic looking from the cockpit and in spot view, haven't had the chance to see if the traffic show up on TCAS yet.Don't you see IVAO traffic?
October 30, 201114 yr Unfortunatelly not; I reinstalled IVAP but no change; I remember that you had something like a tutorial for a multi PC setup, but cannot find it anymore.Would be great if you could give me that link again. Thanks Peter Peter Win10/64/32,0GB, [email protected], Gigabyte 1080ti, P3Dv5.1
October 30, 201114 yr Author One easy thing you could try is to re-index your MTL library found in the IvAp config tool, if my memory serves I belive this helped me solve this problem once before. As for the guide I can't find that post myself anymore but I belive this was the "guide" you were thinking about, I received this answer myself in another forum when I had problems setting up IvAp to run in a multi-PC setup. Hope it will help you!Richard, it seems that simconnect is not properly configured on your PCs. I have the latest version of simconnect. You need to install the same version of simconnect on both PCs. Initial version : You'll find the initial version on FSX DVD if you have the deluxe version. You just have to install the FSX SDK and simconnect.msi will be in one of the SDK's directory installed. Start FSX, exit FSX, reboot your PCs SP1 : Then install the SDK SP1A on both PCs http://download.micr...sx_sdk_sp1a.exe Start FSX, exit FSX, reboot your PCs SP2 : If you have FSX SP2 or Acceleration pack, install SDK SP2 on both PCs http://download.micr...9F9F633/sdk.msi Start FSX, exit FSX, reboot your PCs Share directories through your local network : right click on the directory (my win 7 is in french sorry), choose properties, then share. Click on share. in the drop down menu select "everyone", and you must authorize read/write. At last click on share. You need to do this for the 3 following directories : 1) FSX directory : in my case: E:Microsoft Flight Simulator X 2) C:Users[username]AppDataRoamingMicrosoftFSX 3) :Users[username]DocumentsFlight Simulator X Files Configure PC1 (FSX) : In the FSX SDK directory find the following files : SimConnect.xml and SimConnect.ini.Make a copy and paste them in the following directory respectively : 1) C:Users[username]AppDataRoamingMicrosoftFSXSimConnect.xml 2) C:Users[username]DocumentsFlight Simulator X filesSimConnect.ini For SimConnect.xml, add the following lines : you need to change the IP address and enter the IP of PC1 Quote<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?> <SimBase.Document Type="SimConnect" version="1,0"> <Descr>SimConnect Server Configuration</Descr> <Filename>SimConnect.xml</Filename> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <!-- Example Global (remote) IPv4 Server Configuration--> <SimConnect.Comm> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Protocol>IPv4</Protocol> <Scope>global</Scope> <MaxClients>64</MaxClients><Address>192.168.1.100</Address> <Port>500</Port> </SimConnect.Comm> <SimConnect.Comm> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Protocol>Auto</Protocol> <Scope>local</Scope> </SimConnect.Comm> </SimBase.Document> For SimConnect.ini, add (or replace) the following lines : Quote[simConnect] level=verbose console=0 ;RedirectStdOutToConsole=1 ;OutputDebugString=1 ;file=c:simconnect%03u.log ;file_next_index=0 ;file_max_index=9 Configure PC2 (without FSX) : Copy and paste the following lines in a file named SimConnect.cfg. Replace the Address with the IP of your PC1. Quote[simConnect] Protocol=Ipv4 Address=192.168.1.100 Port=500 MaxReceiveSize=4096 DisableNagle=0 Save this file in : C:Users[username]DocumentsSimConnect.cfg a copy of this SimConnect.cfg file must be in each directory of each addon (that use simconnect) you want to use on a separate PC. So you need a copy in IVAP directory, a copy in ASE, etc. Testing SimConnect : Start FSX on PC1, create a flight at any airport of your choice, set AITraffic cursor to 100%. click on fly now. On PC2, start the SimConnect test by starting : C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator X SDKSDKCore Utilities KitSimConnect SDKSamplesAI Traffic.exe You should have a DOS windows saying that SimConnect is connected to Flight Simulator with a list of AI Traffic around you. Well Done !
October 30, 201114 yr Commercial Member Just tried it again and all of a sudden it works again so guess something must have went wrong yesterday or maybe I did something wrong myself without realising it although I can't think of what I could have been.Anyways, now that it's working I'm happy again Now back to the usual problem...finding some free time for actually flying I have flown over 2500hours on ivao and never expected that when you turn the transponder to ta/ra in the aircraft, the ivap sqwark goes to active as well? Am I correct or is this just the numbers?Alex Alex Ridge Join Fswakevortex here! YOUTUBE and FACEBOOK
