January 31, 200422 yr I never install anything on my machines that I don't specifically need.So I know I don't have it installed and never had on any of my machines...

January 31, 200422 yr >Is there any other usefull knowlegde you would like to share>with us?Well, just to repeat that if you don't specefically need something on your PC then why install it? It's tinkering with stuff that ain't broke that causes, IMO, many people to curse FS9 and Big Bill unfairly.David
January 31, 200422 yr IAA isn't compatable with the newer i865/875 chipsets. Its only applicable to those who use RAID. Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
January 31, 200422 yr Sorry for the confusion. V5.02.1002 is the correct version, downloadable from the Intel website. I got that IAA application from the Asus website under utilities for my P4PE motherboard.Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
January 31, 200422 yr There seems to be a few sceptics out there. As I stated, FS2004 starts a lot slower, and probably so do other applications, but once going it runs super smooth and fast. Depends what you want I guess. Personally, I'd prefer the few more seconds it is now taking me to load up all my apps for a VATSIM session, to have the next few hours be stutter free and butter smooth. Each to their own!Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
January 31, 200422 yr No RAID here. I'm not sure about newer Intel chipsets - check your mobos website to see if it is an acceptable application to use.Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11

January 31, 200422 yr The older (Non Canterwood/Springdale) chipsets support the use of IAA.. such as 845.. Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
January 31, 200422 yr Intel does have an IAA Raid version as well that works with the newer chipsets such as the 875P with the IC5HR I/O controller that does SATA RAID. It can be found here:http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/iaa_raid/It will also let you add a Hard Drive and migrate to RAID on the SATA controller after the OS is installed. January 31, 200422 yr I have a question about the first tweak. Should I turn the hardware acceleration completely off on the secondary display driver, or should I leave it at some level?/Mikkel
January 31, 200422 yr How do I determine what chipset I have? Thanks, Howard Jetline Systems: Intel 8th Gen Core i7 8700K (4.8GHz Overclock); GTX 1080 Ti; LG Curved UltraWide 3440x1440 Monitor .
January 31, 200422 yr Howard,Try this link:http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/chipsetid.htmDownload the utility and run it. Then you can see which chipset you have. Regards, Jeroen The Netherlands
