Don't forget the freeware Grumman Duck by SWingman that is far superior to the payware one from IcarusGold. The older freeware scenery from Holger Sandmann and Jon Patch which far exceeded many payware scenery products from the same time period.

Haven't tried the Duck. Thanks for the heads up. The only one I can think of is Ant's Tiger Moth which is much better than the Just Flight cousin.

Most FSX native freeware releases are better than any Abacus add-on.
you don't always make sense.....tongue.pngClown.gif but on this one you'r spot on....Applause.gif

Mike, what is the need of MS having a Flight's store if a well laid out and documented SDK is available to ALL developers? Please, don't tell me that at this point in time you still think that Flight will be accessible to all developers (freeware or payware) as it was for FSX...do you?
:) all this talk reminds me of the Michigan bottle deposit scam.

80-90% of the poll's second question choices are super fundamental in a simulator, dunno why the thread starter indicated 5 only.

Because developers have to choose where to spend their limited resources to make an affordable and usable product.

Realistic Scenery!!!!! How about Yosemite Valley with it's waterfalls or the Colorado river in the Grand Canyon. In another words I want to fly VFR and really know where I'm at. Not trying to guess is that a freeway or just another highway, is that Sacramento or Stockton many times the towns and cities are generic.

If Leonardo Da Vinci thought the same we would have missed a genius. Same speech for Edison,Einstein,Marie Curie and/or whatever historic genius. If MS thinks like that Flight is gonna be a cheap, poor and a pathetic arcade game.

So the world's greatest minds should forget about cancer, origins of the universe and climate change to make a good flight sim... ;)

Not at all, it's quite the opposite...prioritization counts :).

Hmmm.....arguable.I hope someone tells MS to take a look at this poll. It clearly speaks by itself about what a simmer wants.

It clearly speaks by itself about what a simmer wants.
It clearly speaks of what this particular slice of the microcosm of simmers want...

I would really like MSF to have built-in multiplayer software similar to FSINN or Squawkbox so that we can use this either on the vatsim network or instead of the vatsim network (this will ensure that there's no issues with unrecognised aircraft, VOIP, etc). And if its only for Hawaii...I'll stick with FSX thanks. I use FSX mainly for VA flights around Australia, Asia and the pacific. fked if I'm going to buy something specifically for Hawaii regardless of how good it is.

It is rumored that MS Flight will be only for a very small portion of Hawaii.

I'm building a very large ROCK scenery object for all of the "glass is less than half full" folks to crawl under when their pet "rumors" are finally proven specious and rediculous... Just Kidding.gif
