Has anybody tried this out yet?http://secure.simmarket.com/latinvfr-miami-international-airport-kmia.phtmlI'm currently running FlyTampa's Miami, but wonder how this stacks up. In particular since it's brand new. Thanks!

I am awaiting AES support to materialise before laying down my dollars.Certainly should be superior in every way to FlyTampa's legacy version which I, too, use.Plenty of others have purchased (according to SimMarket stats.) Maybe you could also try for reactions in the FSX forum here.Worried.gif

Waiting for AES for it. BTW AES was released today from Aerosoft and includes lots of new airports!!! Oliver said he got the files for MIA and will work on an interim update for it. Praying.gif Congrads to Latin VFR on their first Mega Airport!

It certainly looks quite good. Does anyone know if FlyTampa are planning on releasing a new version of KMIA?

Hi!I've just bought the LatinVFR version of KMIA to replace the Fly Tampa legacy airport which I had been using until now. The LatinVFR product is good although certainly not in the same league as FSDT, Aerosoft or indeed the new Fly Tampa airports. It is however a definite improvement on the Fly Tampa legacy version. Also I was a bit disappointed that the FS9 version does not appear to include the large complex of industrial buildings immediately to the west of KMIA, unlike the appearance in the screenshots. They are however present in the FSX product. Still, overall I am quite happy with this new version - perhaps my expectations are just getting too high!Bill

Unless I'm missing something that complex is there in FS9. I assume you mean the rather large number of buildings, some of them rather oddly shaped, off the end of 8R and to the west of the airport? So far, I've seen everything the screenshots show. The photo textures are a bit garish, but tolerable, and some building texturing could probably have been more developed, but on the whole it is an improvement over the legacy FlyTampa airport that was showing its age. I observed absolutely no framerate hit from this scenery whilst landing there in the iFly 737.DJ

HiYes, I do mean the large number of buildings to the west of the airport, which are quite a feature in real life during an approach from the west and which was one of the reasons that attracted me to buy this to replace my FlyTampa legacy version.. Thanks for that information - I will recheck my installation but they are definitely not present in FS9 with me, although they are present in my FSX installation. I just wonder if some other addon scenery such as Florida Landings has caused this problem.Bill
