December 29, 201114 yr After enjoying the NGX since the day it came out, I recently took the MD-11 for a spin and realized how bland the VC looks compared to the 737, I for one can't wait until the new 777 comes out, I bet it will even shadow the 737! PMDG has set THE standard by which all other addons will be measured by... GREAT JOB! December 29, 201114 yr I have not flown any long haul flights since the NGX came out. Only what they can reach. I likely won't do a TATL crossing until the 777 comes out. I am planning one last retirement flight for my payware 763 and 744. Eric
December 29, 201114 yr I even tried and managed a 3600nm with my 738!!...Just because I love it tooooo much!! Z. C
December 29, 201114 yr http://www.400scalehangar.net/forums/showthread.php?t=27541this is about a record-setting 700(non-ER, with cabin fitting, no extra tanks) flight from Seattle Boeing Field to Prague. SkyEurope even managed to beat their own record by flying one of the next aircraft down to Bratislava.Yes, you can do transat in 737 :) --Peter Fabian

December 29, 201114 yr yep but you can still do say LON-NYC comfortably with an empty plane. --Peter Fabian
December 29, 201114 yr yep but you can still do say LON-NYC comfortably with an empty plane.Yeah. British Airways does (or did at one point) a flight from London City to either JFK or La Guardia with an A318, so I'm guessing you might be able to manage that with a 737. Best Regards, Sam Cordell www.airplane-times.com
December 29, 201114 yr The British Airways flight stops at Shannon west bound and USA immigration is done there. East bound the flight is non stop to London City Regards Nixon Thomas
December 29, 201114 yr There are several transatlantic BBJ flights that you might be able to replicate in the -700 (KIAH-EHAM, KJFK-EDDM), just remember not to load to many passengers.Delivery flights are indeed another good option. KLM's -900s are delivered non-stop from Seattle if conditions are good (tailwind, temp low enough to allow climb to FL410, but high enough to prevent fuel temp problmes). Otherwise they stop and refuel in Glasgow.John-Alan Pascoe John-Alan Pascoe
December 30, 201114 yr I also have retired my 767 from my hangar.the MD11 and 747 still get an occasional visit, but "occasional" is like ... once every few months now.when the 777 rolls out the 747 may well be relegated to WorldFlight duties (one week a year in a full-sized full-motion cockpit simulator) and the MD11 might go the way of the real one...Cant Wait for Vatsim's Cross the Pond flyin after the 777 is released too. :DTrent Hopkinson.(musicalaviator) Trent Hopkinson, 2015 Crewmember of www.mangrove.com.au WorldFlight sim Youtube channel www.youtube.com/user/musicalaviator
