January 6, 201214 yr i tried again tonight to fly the NGX, and after i landed there was an empty feeling.the initial "wow" of the NGX has worn off and now i need FS2Crew to keep it immersive.i agree with the above, once you've flown with FS2Crew flying without it is dull.J41 in the meantime until the SDK gets released, which i guess is this summer the way its going Mitch

January 6, 201214 yr Commercial Member I love you guys, but can we really be a little less dramatic about the SDK? I miss the immersion that I get when I fly with FS2Crew, but can you step back from 30 seconds and remember you have one of the most realistic and complete simulations of the 737?Sometimes I wonder if anyone ever remembers being stuck with this:I know we've come to expect the very best of PMDG, and we've come to expect their products will come with an SDK for developers. Can you take solace in the fact that it's already done and only waiting for the red tape to clear (maybe I'm just used to it because I work with the government so much...)?Less drama. More flying. We all want this. We're all in this together. There's no sense complaining about it (or not buying the -600/-700 for that matter...that doesn't make any sense to me). Kyle Rodgers
January 6, 201214 yr Commercial Member FYI, the FS2Crew "Contest" for the NGX is still running. The contest will close when FS2Crew for the NGX is released. And to let you all know, there will be two versions:Voice Control and Button ControlA lot of non-anglophones are not Voice capable, so just letting you all know that you'll also have your 'Button Control' version, too, so you won't be left out if Voice isn't your thing. January 6, 201214 yr Commercial Member Kyle, you are starting to live up to your signatureFirst - If anyone does something dumb, I'll right there to call them out. It doesn't matter who you are. You can't blame them for wanting to go the extra mile to be safe, legally, especially in the lawsuit happy world we live in.Second - My post wasn't to say "look at PMDG they're awesome" it was to say "look at the product you've been given and see that you're slightly spoiled to be complaining about an SDK not being ready." I don't care who made the product, it's a great one and there's a lot of life in it. To sit here and complain we can't get FS2Crew integrated just yet is slightly valid, but at the same time some other developers release shoddy piles of trash, most people are just trying to get them to patch it to work marginally.I know they promised it to us, but they never said when, precisely, and sometimes you can't anticipate red tape issues.I agree with you that I tend to back them up a lot, but a lot of people misunderstand my end-user-at-fault stance for one of a ###### stance. If you look at my posts in other forums, you'd see similar, no matter who the developer is. Like I said. I'll roast if I have proper cause. If they told us we'd get the SDK and then change their mind later, I'll be on the side of the end users, no doubt about that.Too often, people concentrate on one, single thing, and blow it up to be world ending, when it's really not. As an application/tech instructor, I know that all too well. Too often I hear, "oh, well it doesn't do X, so it's terrible!!!" Never mind that it saves the company $1M a year, essentially does your job for you, solves world hunger, cured cancer, breeds unicorns and brews you a cup of coffee. You're right. It's quite a travesty that it doesn't quite yet speak to you. Edited January 6, 201214 yr by scandinavian13 Kyle Rodgers
January 6, 201214 yr How the hell did this topic "Discovered" FS2Crew Today once again join the dozens of boring infighting posts about the bloody SDK! January 6, 201214 yr Commercial Member FS2Crew is awesome -> it's missing from the NGX -> it's missing because the SDK -> my life is ruined because we don't have the SDK in order for me to have FS2Crew with my favorite aircraft.I think that's the general summary. Kyle Rodgers
January 6, 201214 yr my life is ruined because we don't have the SDK Erm, you are saying that with tongue in cheek... yes? :( HowardMSI Mag B650 Tomahawk MB, Ryzen7-7800X3D CPU@5ghz, Arctic AIO II 360 cooler, Nvidia RTX4090 GPU, 32gb DDR5@6000Mhz, SSD/2Tb+SSD/500Gb+OS, Corsair 1000W PSU, LG Ultragear 48"4K, MFG Crosswinds, TQ6 Throttle, Fulcrum One YokeMy FlightSim YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@skyhigh776
