A pile of arcade stuff,Tell him to drop the ball sooner rather than later.

i know that what i thought too seems more like a "game" rather than a sim

I lack the words to express how disappointed I am in everything I've been reading and seeing. I can't afford a $500 sim, so I hope PMDG plans to support FSX for a long time to come.

The hints and clues that Microsoft Flight was not going to be a serious simulation and was going to be a Major Disappointment were obvious months ago. Although I remember a few in here saying it was going to be an evolution and game changer. Microsoft had their chance and now it's X-planes turn.

This is my hope too...

The video looks like an arcade game, yes real sims pick up treasures in the air in real life! What a load of crap won't sell many I'm tipping Wayne.

I have been selected for the MS Flight beta programm, I made topic about it but it got deleted for some reason? Well I have to say, it all started very disappointing. Very gamey, and some stupid missions. But the good things I noticed right away were the very good graphics, good frame rate even with my bad graphics card, extremely fast game startup (within around 5 seconds). Aircraft flight dynamics are similar FSX and in my opinion also more realistic. Ground effect also very good, no immediate stall when you pull the throttle to idle. Also, unlike in XPlane 10, my controls were plug and play, extremely easy to setup. Also the User Interface is very good and easy to use. To me it seems very unlikely that we're only gonna have Hawaii upon release, because the beta programm already had half of it. And remember the demo of FSX? It only had St Maarten! If MS Flight will have the whole world upon release, then this game is gonna a have a great future (also for PMDG). And if not, if they charge fair price for full world scenery (100 euros), than I'll be happy, and it will be worth it. And if not, perhaps we should wiat until an add-on developer makes the whole world in MS Flight. Also, the aircraft were definately not bad. All gauges work, all buttons are usable, I could tune my radios etc. Sound is good, flight dynamics were good (realistic ground effect included). To be honest, I like it much more than XPlane 10, which had a terrible user interface, inconvenient viewing system (In MS Flight you can look around exaclty like in FSX), bad flight dynamics, and runway slopes that look like downtown San Francisco. The only good thing about XPlane 10 is their scenery, that's what we also need in MS Flight, and I will be extremely happy. To be honest, I'm a lot less pessimistic that I was before I received the Beta.

I am selected but Beta website say I'm not 'authorized' to enter. :(

Oh, and everyone is saying that they're hoping that PMDG is gonna support FSX for a long time, do you forget how old FSX is? Probably it's not even gonna work in Windows 8, again we'll have to apply our own fixes. It's just too hold, the game crashes on 64-bit pc (unless you use the UiAutomationCore.dll). And apart from that, FSX has a lot more CTD's. G3D.dll, API.dll, ntdl.dll, and other dlls related too PMDG. Although they do not happen that much to me, it is still very annoying. We are just in need of a new good Flight Simulator, that is more stable, and works good without us having to apply our own fixes.

http://flyawaysimula...rosoft-studios/It is stated clearly here that this time Flight dev team does not want to create whole world at all, but just small regions from everywhere so nope, Flight will not have whole world. Also it does not support third party developers, even if some dev makes agreement with M$ and starts making addons for it still it will lack freeware community and also probably most payware ones as they cant really get as much money from it. BSo basically Flight has no future as a simulator as it lacks everything that made community for older ones, and its generally too arcade anyways. And also Hawaii will be on full release too as its going to be free, then you must pay to get other small places to teleport.

X-Plane 10 is only $79.99 :(

From the official press release:"After downloading Microsoft Flight for free, players can jump into hours of exciting gameplay on the Big Island of Hawaii."http://www.microsoft.com/games/flight/#press-takes_to_skiesBig Island only in the free version. You want more, you gotta pay. And, no, there won't be any "Buy the rest of the world for one low price" option.

You're treading dangerously here and I don't think you quite get what being a Beta Tester means!! By writing what you've written here, you've violated the terms of the NDA. The Beta you've been given is a pre-release version which has only been made available to a select few. It is supposed to be highly classified, and down to Microsoft alone to reveal information on the product when they decide to do so. Game development is a highly secretive business. As a Beta Tester, you have a responsibility not to disclose any information about the product at all or divulge any opinion of it until after the product has been released.
