Occupy Redmond

WE ARE THE 99%...who will not play FLIGHTRISE UP AGAINST THE 1% who THINK FLIGHT DOES NOT SUCK.WE ARE LEGION...we do no forgive...we do no forget. EXPECT US.
Ha! We're the 1% cult ###### demographic Microsoft is not targeting with this game. We're the 1% flight sim elitists. Microsoft is trying to spread the wealth of and joy of flying with the non geek masses! This is simulator socialism! I propose a virtual fly-in at Redmond within FSX to stage our protest.

Well i think it all looks great so i will buy em all, you allready have your simulator in FSX so go play with that.
I respect your opinion of course but I am under the impression the the world, me included, thinks exactly the opposite, at least looking at you tube and facebook comments made by men from all over the world.

If you want to have an effect, don't boycott it.Download it 50 times and never play it. Burn up some bandwidth.

Superpilot,Occupy Redmond is a people-powered movement that began on January 6th in the Avsim forums and has spread to over 100 cities in the United States and actions in over 1,500 cities globally (or at least it likely will soon). #or is fighting back against the corrosive power of Microsoft and multinational corporations over the democratic simulation-development process, and the role of Microsoft in creating a reality collapse that has caused the greatest sim-recession in generations. The movement is inspired by popular uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia (both partially due to unhappiness with Flight's crappy x-box like gameplay). We aim to fight back against the stupidest 1% of people that are willing to play this 'game', thereby foreclosing on our future. The occupations around the world are being organized using a non-binding consensus based collective decision making tool known as a "sim-geeks' assembly". To learn more about how to use this process to organize your local Avsim community to fight back against flightsim injustice, just google the interweb.Solidarity Forever!JOIN US!
That´s pretty lame. I´m also a bit dsiappointed but don´t we have an good working FSX? In my oppinion there´s not mch to complain about FSX. it´s working good and thith the NGX even better!
Okay control freak, I'll stop expressing myself so that you can continue to rule the universe without my opinions.
Oh no, you´ve unveiled my plan! Well, just kidding. :(

Best regards, Steffen

Btw, I wonder how much an Microsoft ESP license would cost. Maybe we can get one and make our own flight sim from a simmers perspective?! :(

  1. It hasn't been available for nearly two years.
  2. It wouldn't work anyway because no source code was ever included.

Heheh nice idea but it ain't worth. The best action everyone of us can do is DO NOT buy any addons and Flight will die within few weeks.
Flight will not succed, people in Beta have already uninstalled it - read the facebook page. It's crap

Sorry, i had to have a sleep, just woke up and i'd hoped the revolution would have started by now. Well, looks like we're up to four guys who'll actually be in our tent city. Remember, the manifesto calls for 1500 cities worldwide, so please keep spreading the word.To those others who have supported us, thankyou. To those who have opposed us - when the revolution comes and you're up against the wall, don't call us for help.Solidarity forever!Edit: i just looked up where Redmond is. It's next to friggin' Seattle! Do you know how cold it gets there? And how am I meant to get there from the Pilbara???? I might just have to 'phone in' for this one.

Post up a note on the "Flight Job Board." Maybe some kind soul will volunteer to pick you up and give you a ride to Redmond......oh wait they can't go that far, and it'd take too long to paddle the rest of the way! :(

Technically, we (the hardcore users) are the 1% ... the 99% (the non hardcore crowd) will probably enjoy flight for what is is.

Look, I'm enjoying the wedding yacht mission in Flight as much as the next guy. But if you start talking like that, you're just contributing to the "corrosive power of Microsoft and multinational corporations over the democratic simulation-development process, and the role of Microsoft in creating a reality collapse that has caused the greatest sim-recession in generations." And that can't be good.P.s. the woman who keeps telling me how good my flying is is kind of cool, though. And I think she sounds hot. Would be good if we could get MS to add her to FSX. Maybe the guys can ask while they're in Redmond? Ta!SOLIDARITY FOREVER!

It looks like there is an active TFR over Redmond, WA. I think they might be expecting trouble.I have a friend that works for FEMA, he said there is a FEMA CAMP a couple miles down the road from Microsoft. He also said that the FEMA CAMP is set up with state of the art torture chambers where they play MS FLIGHT VIDEOS 24 hours a day.I would not go if I were you, Read this:National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012Pursuant to the AUMF passed in the immediate aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks, the NDAA text affirms the President's authority to detain, via the Armed Forces, any person "who was part of or substantially supported theTRUTH MOVEMENT, WE ARE THE 99 PERCENT, or associated forces that are engaged in hostilities against the United States or its coalition partners," or anyone who commits a "belligerent act against MICROSOFT", under the law of war, "without trial, until the end of the hostilities authorized by the [AUMF]." ] An amendment to the Act that would have explicitly forbidden the indefinite detention without trial of American citizens was rejected by the Senate.[20]
