Oh you can be sure that they are aware alright, and far too busy to be distracted by it. Remember, there was just as much -if not more- of the same sort of hysteria just before FS9 was released, and just before FSX was released, much of it from the same folks who apparently didn't learn from history, or those who have simply failed to read history at all.

But in the situation of fs9 and fsx it wasn't about if those sims would have global coverage e.t.c. Anyway, a turning point in flight's history was at fs 2002 if i remember correctly when they integraded the ms combat sim graphics engine, and autogen e.t.c, and it didn't need a supermachine in order to run as was the case with fs2000. Now, what is the innovation with ms Flight? The live store? Because all i keep seeing is a dumped down version of what ms flight sims used to be.

I was just thinking about exactly this.!I have never flown to or in Japan for example, and I don't think I ever will unless I go there in RL. (I tend to fly to places I've been or am going to in RL)Other's have said that the potential is there for this to be the FSnext and looking at the videos I agree. Why would they bother with things like radio frequencies, VOR's and NDB's if it was all about flying through hoops?I'm quietly optimistic as to what Flight could/will be :(

I doubt that they could easily model whole world in high quality. I personally believe anyway that Flyawaysimulations article about Flight and how its not going to be with whole Earth coverage is true if devs themselves said it to them.I am into Cuba and Thailand very much. Who really thinks that MS is going to make me high quality Cuba region?

No they dont. My friend was talking to them at CES yesterday. He is not a simmer but I asked him to express simmers concerns about 'Flight' to the MS guys. Unsurprisingly, the MS rep was totally shocked and said he didn't know a lot about Flight anyway!

ROFL -- Thats the impression I got, watching the CES Videos of the FLIGHT exhibit.ACES was an "interesting" mix of Professional Programmers and Real World Pilots, helping to keep them "on Track" .Based on just viewing Videos of the Beta, it might appear that the new FLIGHT development group, just consists of Professional Computer Game Programmers, who know about as much about actual Aviation and Flying, as those Microsoft sent to CES to exhibit the product !!
