January 22, 201214 yr How do you switch from for example _app to _twr without using the mouse? The X52-Pro Throttle has your COM 1, COM 2, NAV 1, NAV 2 Radios and you can change the frequencies from there. Or you can just use your Mouse to setup the frequencies ahead of time. When I am on approach the frequencies are already tuned and it's simply a matter of tapping the correct button below the throttle display. Edited January 22, 201214 yr by UAL115 Paul Deemer
January 22, 201214 yr It's a sim. I don't need an F/O to enjoy it. I certainly wouldn't "park" the best FSX add-on there is for the lack of FS2crew. I find it hard to believe anybody would.
January 22, 201214 yr I find it hard to believe anybody would. Apparently the OP can't seem to fly without a co-pilot so he has parked his plane. Not that anyone else really cares but thats his choice. Paul Deemer

Not that anyone else really cares but thats his choice.i didn't write this for anyone to care if i use the NGX or not.i wanted to see what other people fly if they are not flying the 737and yes, it is a sim, and in the real world you would not fly the 737 without a first officer, so i like to simulate that too. until we have access to an FO for the NGX, it isn't a complete sim for meand paul, you sure do love to speak for everyone else a lot Mitch

January 22, 201214 yr Author Okay so when you get your Co-Pilot, where is the rest of your cabin crew? In the real world you wouldnt fly without a cabin crew either. Guess still won't be able to fly your NGX then cause nobody would fly in the real world without a cabin crew. :(cabin crew doesn't help fly the planewhy are you so bothered by my choices Edited January 22, 201214 yr by flyguy172 Mitch
January 22, 201214 yr I thought it was an interesting post myself. I find FS2Crew adds legs to old in the tooth products like LVL-D 767 also. I would probably not still be flying that bird without it. So to answer the OP's question, I'm similar to you, I still bring out of the hangar both the 767 for the long hauls and the JS4100 for short hops mostly around Alaska which I love with UTX Alaska. And to Paul 2 posts up, the NG is certainly certified to fly without a cabin crew, but not certified single pilot. I think you are just trying to be difficult at this point. Edited January 22, 201214 yr by Valcor Dave Creed
January 22, 201214 yr cabin crew doesn't help fly the planewhy are you so bothered by my choicesIm not bothered by your choice. I could care less if you ever fly the NGX again. Your the one used the excuse that not having a Co-pilot made it unrealistic. To this I said its not realistic to not have a cabin crew either. But I am not gonna let it keep me from enjoying the best sim out there just because there is no Co-Pilot, Cabin Crew or Pax sitting in their seats. :( Just my opinion and you can easily ignore it by skipping to the next reply below. January 22, 201214 yr I suppose it depends how much you enjoy fs2crew. For me it was something I enjoyed for a few flights and then began to get frustrated by. But I don't get any extra enjoyment reading or following checklists either, perhaps that's why. The 767 version finished it for me. The FO does almost everything, leaving me with little to do. I preferred the LDS built in virtual FO. Edited January 22, 201214 yr by kevinh

January 22, 201214 yr Commercial Member For those who are open-minded and genuinely in need of a virtual first officer for the NGX, I am pleased to state that we have such a thing.A free fully working Demo is available. Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
January 22, 201214 yr I been wondering why anyone had to take their hands off the stick and needed a co-pilot. Then I realized not everyone has controllers with a ton of buttons like I do with the X52 Pro. I guess it does make it a lot easier. I have the following assigned to the X52-Pro.ThrottleAuto Pilot DisconnectAuto Throttle DisconnectTrimFlaps AxisSpoiler AxisSpoiler Arm/DisarmThrust ReversersStickAuto Pilot EngageGo Around EngageVNAV EngageLNAV EngageLanding GearReset eyepoint ViewPOV ViewCycle ViewZoom ViewParking Brake Engage/DisengageAuto Brakes Increase/DecreaseMap ViewAS2012 XgaugeWith the following options I never have to take my hands off the controls on approach. So I never give having a co-pilot a second thought because everything is right at my finger tips. But given the fact that most controllers don't have all these button options I can see now how some of you could use a co-pilot. Guess I just take it for granted because it so easy to control everything on the plane with my current controllers. I use the Saitek Rudder pedals to complete it. You can get all 3 pieces for about $260.00 USD. I been wondering why anyone had to take their hands off the stick and needed a co-pilot. Just kidding! but nothing beats the X52pro I have everything mapped with the SST, using just one mode and the shift, and I still have tons of space left. Chidiebere Anyahara
January 22, 201214 yr For the record, FS2Crew has always simulated a cabin crew IIRC. Specifically the head flight attendant and communication with her throughout critical phases of flight. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
