Southwest drivers: Making a livery. Need your input.

Recommended Posts

I can't reproduce Southwest's script font they use for the nose, so I'm having to approximate using ones I have on hand. These are the two I've narrowed it down to. Which do you prefer, or do you have another alternative?Untitled-2.jpg

The bottom one is closer to the real script. The only thing the top one has going for it is the tails off the 'M' and the 'N'.

There's a tool online that will take an image of text and run it through its database to offer fonts similar to it, if you need help finding one. Some do cost money, but you can often find a decent free substitute.Better yet, you can always use the pen tool to trace a photo of the text. Pen tool uses vector and not raster, so you can infinitely re-size it to fit your needs.

I've never heard of Southwest drivers. I only know Southwest pilots. :(
Pilots often refer to themselves as drivers, especially in the military community.

I'm trying to make a vector from a photo. It's far from perfect but it may work. I'll post some shots later.
