Flight DLC in trouble?

Featured Replies

Just noticed that MS is trying to hire a Program Manager for Flight (posted on their Facebook page). There have been rumors of people leaving MS, as well as other internal conflicts. Maybe a replacement posting? Seems late in the game to hire for this position... Anyways if someone is looking for a job...http://www.microsoft...__MSStudiosJobsOne of the main points of the job description--"Drive our DLC merchandising strategy, overseeing our pricing, bundling, and promotions, to maximize our revenue potential, coordinated with our overall messaging."

I seen that yesterday. maybe it shows they still havn't finalised all the details with the DLC or perhaps they are improving its structure. It probably means nouthing and the "we" crowd will no dought use it as negative rehtoric against Flight. If GM advertises for a Program manager does it mean GM has a problem. NO

@Barnstormer1, replacing positions is normal-- it just seems a little odd that they are trying to fill such a position so integral to their strategy at this point (with Flight to be released in the Spring). Could be nothing because someone left, was promoted etc... or it could be a clue to some of the rumored problems there.

Nothing in the hiring description says it is specifically for Flight. MS has DLC for other softwares and console based games as well.

Let the pointless speculation begin.

I agree. Not much to be deduced from that job posting I think.

It could just as easily mean they are moving along nicely and are now settled on the high level direction and plans for Flight DLC and are now filling positions to execute the plan and manage the day-to-day operations. What is so strange about that? You likely would not hire such a program manager during the early development stage.

True - so many here don't let them get in the way.
