The taming of the turbulence model in the latest beta make XP10 more appealing to me now, except I still have a performance issue with my system, even at default levels, without road traffic or HDR. Funny, It's only been this bad since they consolidated the cloud settings, I was getting double the frames (about 18 vs 9-10 now) with the then posted cloud tweak. So unless I can get back some of those frames without losing anymore detail, I'll have to sit out XP10 until I can get a more powerful system. (A 3.0GHZ E6850 4GB system)
Do you have an ATI card? There's a bug currently: http://developer.x-plane.com/2012/02/three-nasty-bugs/Marco

Update! I don't know how, (I Haven't done anything since updating to 10.04 Beta, which didn't (at the time) seem to change anything) but my frames are back to normal even in clouds. While I was getting 8-10FPS before, In the same situation now I'm getting in the 20's. I think I'll continue to test, and if they remain high, I'll be able to buy XP10.

Thanks

The lowest I saw with xx.03 was 9FPS when using extreme. With 10.04 I am back to 29FPS and higher so, yes the FPS issue has been improved.
