I have to say, I don't know what you're impressed with. What has already been posted on youtube is pretty much everything there is to know about Flight. There was some new content released recently, but hardly anything to brag about. And certainly nothing to say there is a BIG surprise. What is your username on the beta forums? I'll be more than happy to have a PM conversation with you about the specifics of Flight in the beta forums. Obviously we cannot do it here.

February 8, 201214 yr I just had a browse around the MSFlight forum. It's getting a real hammering. A lot of very disappointed ppl over there. From what I read there it's difficult to see this going anywhere.Pete Edited February 8, 201214 yr by jasonX

From what I read there it's difficult to see this going anywhere.PeteI dont think flight is marketed towards anyone you would frequent AVSIM. Its more of a product to appeal to those how have never been into flight sims and may have found them indimitating. The one good thing about flight is it may bring in new people to this hobby. Those people will get bored with Flight at some point (probably quickly) and then the XPlane and FSX communities may see some new faces. So in the long run, Flight may be good for this hobby in an indirect sort of way. At least I hope to think so, I could be wrong.Rob

February 9, 201214 yr Much better ! Frederic, are you a real pilot with real world flying experience? If so, what do you fly? I ask because it helps put a perspective on it. For example, a pilot of a 747 might give a PIREP for light turbulence when a pilot of a light GA aircraft flying through the same area and altitude may report the same turbulence as being moderate. It's all a matter of perspective. Likewise, real-world pilots versus simulation-only pilots often have different perspectives. FAA licensed pilot (APSEL) flying Cessna 172R and Cessna172SPs. February 12, 201214 yr Since this is a flight "thread" and I've read the back and forth, I started to do a littleabstract thinking: MS may win the battle but, lose the war.Follow this line of thought: MS Flight gets "loads" of people to download and play flight and, theystart liking this "flight" thing. Human nature, I need my next fix and, I need it now therefore, the question arises, what can "it" do now/next? And that is the potential for disaster, theystart looking for something with a little more subtle sophistication etc, something besides the ever repeatingexperience. People don't generaly start out as "hardcore" simmers. It lacks the ability to deliver spontaneity: you just can't take off and fly "anywhere" on a whim.So in steps Flight Simultor "next". Get it?Now the disclaimer. I don't "hate" anyone who is awaiting the release of flight so, don't postany one clause, one phrase negative responce to this. As a matter a fact I am a fan of Bill Gatesand to a large extent Microsoft: part of the reason why my last non Microsoft O.S. was on an Apple "something"back in 1981. This might seem complex, it's not, it's just connecting a few dots. Alex Cadle
