If FLIGHT becomes a failure how will investing in DLC affect buyers?

You knew that there was no point in asking that. Give it a rest, mgh.

I suppose there's no point in asking how Microsoft was dishonest towards the beta testers? Is it because it didn't delay release because of public beta testers opinions?
Gerry, try to hold your water until March 1st. I -along with many others- will be more than happy to satisfy your curiosity then.

it looks like the product we initially tested in the beta will also be the one (more or less) which will be released on 29FEB. From my experience during testing, the product was pretty much bug-free. Now you are referring to the lot of feature requests that have been voted throughout the beta but they are not really "bugs"...
I'm not in the Filght beta, but it sounds like it is being done by book - and that's a good thing. I’m sure all suggestion will be considered for future work. And seeing that Flight will be shipping follow-up content, it stands the suggestions will be a great resource. But beta is no time to be implementing new ideas, or even basic suggestions. That’s no way to ship a good product. Beta addresses only the most sever bugs. And that means small bugs are often waved. A public beta is just a stress test as far as I’m concerned. In my own experience half the team is rolled off to other work once beta starts anyway. By this time only a few senior people are able to touch the code...and with AQ standing over their shoulder ;) I am really curious how the public beta testers were affronted…it sounds like there was some miscommunication.

It is more than just that.

Frankly Bill I won't care then. I shall base my judgement about Flight on what's actually released, not on snide unsupported comments made now by some beta testers.

Arwen im also a tester and in a way i feel your pain . it went so fast from one stage to a release date .

You don't have to be rude, just because a girl doesn't give you what you want.

Were you on the FSX beta?
No I wasn't on that beta either. But a long alpha and short beta is more standard.A long beta, to me means approving an alpha build that's not truly ready.BTW, I’m not commenting one way or the other on the public beta upset…lol I haven’t a clue ;)

OK, so a comparison between the 2 wouldn't mean anything for you and that's cool!

Is it not better to ask this question to MS's team?
Do you honestly think that MS would/could answer such a question?MS most likly doesn't even know themselves how much they are giong to expand Flight..If Flight is basically a failure at launch, you can bet your joy stick that you will never be able to fly out of Hawaii.
