February 10, 201214 yr What is the best airliner addon for FS2004 (non-heavy)?As of now I only fly the Aeroworx King Air 200, but I'd like something bigger for longer flights. Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
February 10, 201214 yr That of course is a matter of taste. I, for instance, have been flying nothing by AirSimmer A320 lately and I can't get enough. But I know some folks are not so happy about it. So I can recommend something else to you, another of my all-time favourites. It is the iFly 737NG series. A great addon with great support and great perspectives. You can't go wrong with it (especially with its 30 days guarantee).
February 10, 201214 yr Ill recommend the ifly also, great support, great systems simulation, lots of extra freebies by other users such as vc mods etc. You get 30 refund policy, plus yiu get the 600/700/800/900 bbj 1 bbj 2 bbj3 models. Plus with the Feature pack coming up, apparently its almost like a new plane all together, even though its great as it is. Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.
February 10, 201214 yr I would say LeonardoSH Maddog, depth of the systems comparable with PMDG and Level-D Kind Regards, Peter
February 10, 201214 yr PMDG MD11I agree. I'm also a great fan of the iFly B737 series, Supronov Yak 40 and PT TU-154M. Oh and the Dreamfleet B727. And the LDS B767. Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
February 10, 201214 yr All of the above are great suggestions. I you want a fantastic addon that will allow you to fly using "steam gauges" and using procedures and a FD/AP close to your B200, then the DreamFleet 727 can't be beaten. If you want to step into something more "state of the art" then the iFly 737 is a sure bet. If you want something heavier then the LevelD 767 is rock solid, even if it's a much older product. I don't have the PMDG MD11 but all I have read about it has been very positive - same with the Mad Dog MD80Decide what kind of "bigger for longer flights" you want and what kind of technology you want to step up to and then choose one of the above. You won't regret it.
February 10, 201214 yr If by 'non-heavy' you mean the typical short/med haul birds - iFly 737 without hesitation. Solid stable code, great feature set and enhancement package coming - best bang for the buck out there given how much you get (and will get) for the price. Regards, Mark
February 10, 201214 yr Commercial Member I would also recomend the iFly 737. I also enjoy the Flight1 ATR, fun little plane to fly! Repaint Requests - Get your OWN custom repaint
February 10, 201214 yr Try Tu-134 bei SCS or - if it may be a classic propliner - Calclassics DC-6B. Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
February 11, 201214 yr I agree with PMDG MD 11.By heavy you mean narrow body? Wilco 737 classic is quite good.
February 11, 201214 yr I would also look at some freeware products like Project Airbus for example, I am quite happy to fly these planes around as I think they can be quite realistic as some of the payware products, especially if you add on a decent panel, sound effects etc, the results can be quite impressive and it doesn't cost you anything either. Just my opinion anyway, and to think outside the box a little... Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Packard Bell imedia S3210. AMD Athlon II X 3 425 Processor 2.70 GHz. 3 GB RAM. External hard drive 1TB. FS9.1, Ground Environment, Ultimate Terrain Europe, REX, Zinertek's Ultimate Water Advanced & Ultimate Night Environment 2010, WOAI, MAIW, AES, ODG Project.
