I use Andrew Thorntons scenery config editor (here on AVSIM sceneryconfigeditor.zip) A fantastic utility that lets you group and easily enable/disable scenery areas. Ideal to prevent these odd scenery crosss over problems, and great for sorting those issues as well

Thanks, I had a look and it looks quite simple to use.For some reason it won't show anything but the text editor list.Might have something to do with prior install of FS Scenery Manager?

Hi all,just back from a 4day canal cruise break.Reading the above post's, I have a folder preflight, in which I have shortcuts for AES,GEPro, A/sky other utility's.Then deciding where I aim to fly, using SceneryConfig Editor enable the required Area's. In the SCE I have marked all scenery applicable to AES and hence enable the ones I require, set-up GEPro and then bootup FSim.That is how I nailed down the Sicily scenery conflict, for I only had Italy and the UK plus Sicily switched on.Regards JohnT

Hello everyone!Thank you Francesco for this nice scenery which is working for me in FS9 with MyWorldComplete.I just have one problem. My AI Traffic lands, taxis and parks correctly so far. But for Runway 25 it gets stuck on the holding point and does not take off but keeps waiting and then vanishes after some time. I changed the wind direction to the opposite, loaded the AI traffic again, and waited if there would be the same problem at the Runway 07 holding point. And indeed there was the same problem.Now my question is, do other people have the same problem? I am using the 1.1 version and didn't have 1.0 installed before, and I did everything as described in the PDF, and I am using the AFX_LICJ_R2_AI.bgl instead of AFX_LICJ_R2.bgl which I had replaced as I love to see my AI traffic.

Yes, other people have the same problem. The new file does not work for AI traffic because the holding points are too far from the runway. AFX software has an error-checking facility and whilst I respect the considerable work the author has put into the scenery (way in excess of my abilities) it is disappointing such simple checks were not made and the errors corrected. Earlier in this discussion I offered the author a working file which could have been built upon but the offer was not taken up. So we end up with an absolutely lovely scenery which doesn't work properly in FS.If you have AFX or ADE you can adjust the position of the holding points yourself but I do not advise using AFCD2 to edit the file as I think the taxi signs and exclusion areas for the existing scenery may be lost.John

By the way, whenever I tried to modify afcads with AFCD2 I messed up more than I wanted, I did quite a lot of reading on AFCAD2, tutorials etc. But I still don't understand how it saves, where it saves, and what I need to delete or replace, where to find it etc. So I keep my hands off AFCD2 now.I also tried to use it to make my AI A380s finally visible in my FS9, modifying gates or playing around with aircraft parking radius etc with another tool too, and I never succeded, so I gave that up.So in my case, quite a lot of heavy AI planes simply don't appear at all or not at the programmed destinations, not only the AI A380s but also other AIs, sometimes even the A330, A340 or B767, or AN124 and AN224/225, while all the AI flightplans are there and correct, also the aircraft.cfgs are correct, no spelling errors for model and texture etc. But I don't want to get too far away from the original topic...Maybe I will try AFX or ADE then and read into it to repair LICJ2012 and some other freeware scenery afcads which had the same holding point problems, because I have the same problem with LTBA2008 which also had an awesome scenery but AIs don't take off at some of the runways, so I tried to get along with that by only getting there or flying from there with working wind directions.

Not a problem . . .I have just made a check. My setup is locked at 30 fps and it ran between 29.7 and 29.9 which is pretty normal. I had about ten AI aircraft present with three on the move. So I don't see a problem with frame rates.Best wishes,John

I have and use AFX. The good news is that it's much easier to use than AFCAD as you can edit within FS and see your layout and the actual scenery at the same time. The bad news is that it does not give you some of the functions of AFCAD - including the ability to change aircraft turning radius. So for solving the kinds of problems you're talking about, it's probably useless. As for ADE, I hate to admit it, but I tried it and couldn't figure it out... Lots of people use it and swear by it but I couldn't get anything to work... (Not surprising really, most days I can't get myself to work either! LOL)

I hope that file solved your problems with AI addon traffic ;)I have only two questions:1- i read in this post the AES support request. How to ask for this?2- i'm creating LICA (Italian Airport) for FS 2004, and maybe for FSX after. I would like release this payment for only 1 or 2 euros (like an App for iphone ;) ).
