February 26, 201214 yr I wonder what the problem is and why it is going on and on. At some times I cant download anything and get the message: "invalid weather file folder. Please set a valid folder before continuing".As mentioned by others it also takes ages to load a flight plan and the latest issue is that it also takes more than two minutes to fetch a weather report.Have anyone heard from the team by writing them. I havent written yet since I really wonder if they care Edited February 26, 201214 yr by argeme
February 28, 201214 yr Damian has not been around since mid-january. I have begin wondering if hifi as a busines has come to halt? Eric
February 28, 201214 yr Damian has not been around since mid-january. I have begin wondering if hifi as a busines has come to halt? I suspect that Damien is busting his tail trying to get the other versions of AS2012 out and resolving issues in this one... Remember, there are very few people involved in the HiFi operation. Folks who are having issues that can't be readily resolved by other users should submit a support ticket to HiFi for resolution. That's why the pinned post at the top of the forum says: "Please note that our official Support Center is available at http://support.hifitechinc.com Please use the Support Center for all official Order and Technical Support needs directly from HiFi's Support Department. Community posts here at AVSIM may be responded to by developers or HiFi staff but our official support center should be used for a timely and official response."DJ
February 29, 201214 yr Don't know why but I feel as though it is abnormally slow today... ASE B 655 w/ FS9 and the download, synthesis and initial depiction is taking at least 12 minutes at a time... I have updates set to every 30 but when it takes over 12 to complete, then Depiction Output active is green 16 out of the other 18 minutes it makes for a real stutterfest in FS unfortunately :( It is blatantly obvious as well because it is only when ASE is not active that FPS shoot back up to 60FPS and the sim is butter smooth again... It might not be so noticeable if the sim wasn't so smooth without ASE but when it is 60fps on a 60hz monitor without a single stutter without ASE and significant suttering with it is hard to miss.I really love ASE, I know Damian and the team are phenomenal and incredibly supportive but there are some days it is just so frustrating... My latest download alone just took 6 minutes choking FS the entire time, Depiction Output Active has been lit up for 16 minutes straight. I have 36.29Mbps down right now and 7.0Mb/s up and am using about 4% of my LAN bandwidth with 0 collisions/errors so the problem is not network related on this end. Wait, as I type after 18 minutes Depiction Output active went out for ~ 20 seconds and is pinned green again and is just sitting active again... It also seems the machine AsE is running on makes no difference, the performance is equally poor on all of them leading me to believe the connection to the ASE servers is determining how well ASE performs not the app itself... I have tried a C2D E8500, a stock i5 and a 4.8 i5. None of them do anything to speed up the performance of ASE.Ugh, just venting more than anything, For as much as we love this hobby it can frustrate me more than a woman sometimes! April 7, 201214 yr My Active Sky 6.5 (Build 552) will not let me connect to the servers. It keeps saying download failed or cancelled. It worked yesterday but was EXTREMELY slow. It took me about an hour to load a flightplan with only 20 waypoints on it! It also took about 10 minutes to fetch a weather report of an airport. Today it won't even connect to the servers at all. Please Help! Tyler
April 7, 201214 yr As you can see, there is another topic already opened on this, and you are not alone with the issue The problem is not on your side but server side, probably will take a while, especially knowing that it's a long weekend, it's possible the responsible ones don't even know there's a hickup with the connections.
