February 29, 201214 yr Please refer to the NGX screen shot below:Notice the "black diamond cross-hatching" effect on the VC Captain's panel view when zoomed in at night. Is this normal, or do I have a video card problem? Attempting to troubleshoot some video issues with my NVIDIA GTX 460 card (yeah, it's getting old :(). I adjusted the setting per the recommendations from Ryan's post in the PMDG General Discussion forum. However, I'm still seeing this effect. Can't complain about the frame rates, though. 40+. February 29, 201214 yr Hi, from what I understand this is a side effect of the way the adjustable panel lighting is done and can't be fixed. Christoph Kühne
February 29, 201214 yr I have the same problem with my GTX 460 card. But I do also see those stripes on my VFR Germany (on the photoreal ground) scenery from Aerosoft. It could be a videocard problem... Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!
February 29, 201214 yr I checked, yes, I have the same. so I think that it is how it must be.Maybe is the way that pmdg can recreate the various light intensity. Regards Andrea Daviero

March 5, 201214 yr Moderator Hi, from what I understand this is a side effect of the way the adjustable panel lighting is done and can't be fixed.Correct!!! Spending money on a new video card wont make any difference since it is due to the panel design and lighting. March 5, 201214 yr Commercial Member There is no fix for this - the way we do the panel lighting has a limited total resolution lower than the actual texture resolution and that's what causes the effect. FSX does not even support true variable/dynamic lighting and this is what we came up with to create the effect. It's either this or else static lighting levels like every other addon out there. Don't go buying video cards or anything, it won't make any difference, it can't. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
