Simulated failures
Your taxi speed during turns might be too high - 10 kts GS max is the recommendation I think. Taking sharp high speed turns on the ground will eventually trigger this failure. Hard landings (smacking the nose wheel on the runway during derotation) might do it as well, but I'm not sure about that. This info comes from the NGX, I assume it is the same with the 777.

EGT jump on start
Interesting video, that certainly could put a twist on those boring fireplace DVDs. In my case this jump occurs some time after the engines have stabilized, about 30 seconds or so. After a peak of 550 °C EGT settles on a value around 390 °C, then (30 sec later) jumps to something like 445 °C, no values in between. It was in one of Froogles beta-videos, too - he commented on it ("look, it jumped").

EGT jump on start
I have seen this jump but not consistently during every flight. My guess: it is related to panel state problems and falls under that category in the issues tracking thread.

Strange crackling sound?
Same thing happened to me, I knew I had read it somewhere. Probably wouldn't hurt to put an additional note into the intro manual though.

Strange crackling sound?
The crackling and feedback is a self test function, so it's perfectly normal. Out of curiosity I looked through the intro doc, couldn't find anything. The quote I found is from the tutorial flight, page 110: "Finally, you will hear a rather obnoxious sounding microphonic feedback and static sound as the cockpit aural systems test runs."

Emirates Livery Problem on load - engine blades - ground power
Just checking ;-) This happens when you load the 777 from the free flight screen? If it's only one livery causing problems, I'd try reinstalling the livery (Kyle will probably yell at me for this, but since it's pretty quick to do, might be worth a try).

Emirates Livery Problem on load - engine blades - ground power
From the intro manual, page 29: "There is a common misconception that when loading a complex simulation like the PMDG 777-200LR/F that you should first load the default Cessna into the simulator, then load the PMDG 777-200LR/F. This is not a factual conception and in fact we do not recommend the practice at all." "One shortcoming of all PMDG products for FSX is that our products do not like to be “re-loaded” on top of themselves."

HF radios, Satcom and ACARS
I have a slight hope that the SDK opens up the com part to third party developers. For example, OPUS offers an FSX menu where you can look at ATIS info on airports on your route. That function could be simulated fairly realistically through the 777 (ACARS weather request).

Additional Systems Display on EICAS Q
No problem, you're welcome.

Additional Systems Display on EICAS Q
Search the forum for compact engine display, several threads with instructions will come up.

Payload from PFPX
Of course - I'm sorry, I confused the two points of discussion going on. I thought he was saying: put the ZFW either in the FMC or the options to set aircraft weight. What he was actually saying: put the ZFW in the options and don't worry about the distribution. Which by the way is how I have been doing it, too - just set the ZFW that PFPX comes up with in the respective line in the setup page, let the plane figure out the distribution by itself. Set the fuel, ready for FMC preflight.

Payload from PFPX
Really? Entering a ZFW in the FMC PERF INIT changes the actual aircraft weight as changing ZFW in FS ACTIONS would?

Overall Opinion of PMDG 777
I remember this being asked for NGX as well - it's something I wondered about, too. Unfortunately, it cannot be done, Ryan answered that at the time. I might as well join this thread with my opinion: On my system the 777 runs very smooth, better than the NGX. I actually like the high degree of automation, because it's much easier to operate in a single pilot environment. It's a beautifully crafted machine in real life as it is in this simulation. Biggest surprise: The auto cruise feature has really opened up a whole new FSX-world for me, in the days since release I've been to places that I haven't visited since the days of Aerowinx PS1. Probably an expensive feature in the end, as this puts many more great add-on airports within reach ;-)

LINES ON 777 DISPLAYS
I followed this guide: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/324786-nvidia-configuration-guide-inspector-2xxxx-drivers-version-20-explanations-of-all-settings/ I haven't read through the thread though - there might be more, better or newer recommendations in the thread itself.

Couple of Basic Controller Questions Please?
AP Disconnect: Press ctrl+shift+z, that is the default shortcut for the AP disconnect button on the control wheel. Press once to disconnect, press twice to cancel the alarm (wait a moment between the clicks). EICAS cancel reset: I haven't looked into it myself, but I expect you can assign a shortcut key through the FMC PMDG setup (options, key commands). Use FSUIPC to assign that key to your hardware, if you like.
