March 8, 201214 yr It wont help. Somebody will just think that means the pictures are only of external views. :LMAO: Yes. I know. Perhaps I wouldn't saw it either. I like the plane, I want to get high for aerocache. I buy it. March 13, 201214 yr If you move the eypoint back (ctrl-Q) from the default cockpit view (which is placed WAY out front of the spinner) you can have a cockpit view in the mustang. Why they didn't place the camera here in the first place... who knows. If anyone has the config edits to place the camera here permanently please share!
March 13, 201214 yr Author Hey, nice catch. The gauges are nonfunctional, but still looks a little better than the "strapped to the front of the plane" default view. : )Matt
March 13, 201214 yr Moderator Unfortunately, there's no way to (re)set the default eyepoint for the P51 since the files are all compressed .pak files. Trying to (un)pak them is pointless, since there's no way to (re)pak them, and the modifications would trip up the DRM checks in any case... Fr. March 13, 201214 yr If that screenie is real (I think it is) - that is really neat and, combined with the HUD, makes the $7 plane a lot more usable
March 14, 201214 yr I held down ctrl + Q and couldn't get this view. Maybe I didn't hold it down enough?
March 14, 201214 yr and the modifications would trip up the DRM checks in any case...What is a DRM check?
March 14, 201214 yr Wow, if that is factual then I may need to rethink purchasing the P51. I just refuse to fly in exterior view only, and if I can get a cockpit, albeit one with non-functioning guages, that will work for me - at least I will feel like I am flying from inside the aircraft! Can someone else confirm this works? Don B
March 14, 201214 yr Can someone else confirm this works? Yes it does, but takes more than 1.5 minutes to move and adjust the view from inside. You basically take the position of the avatar.Panel is dark, non functional.Hit “BACKSPACE” by mistake and you have to start all over again.IMO Not worth it. Ramón. Time, is the one thing no one can buy.
March 14, 201214 yr I have eyepoint movements mapped to a hat switch with the repeat lines added, at leat will be able to just hold the hat in the appropriate direction for continuous movement, I will maybe purchase this tomorrow and give it a try. Thanks for the info. Don B

It is easier if you are looking back. Once you see and are inside of the Avatar’s skeleton turn looking forward.Adjust FOV height with Ctrl-S and Ctrl-W Ramón. Time, is the one thing no one can buy.
March 14, 201214 yr Moderator Why not simply use the mouse to shift your eyepoint? Look to the right using your HAT control Press and HOLD the mousewheel, starting from the right edge of the screen Move the cursor towards the left edge of the screen, your eyepoint will be moved aft When you reach the cockpit area, release the mousewheel Rotate your view back towards the front Use the Ctrl-Q key to fine-tune position as needed Fr. I have to repeat steps 2 and 3 many times. Ramón. Time, is the one thing no one can buy.
