There's 108 people viewing the Flight forum. There's 1 vewing the FSX forum. Go figure...(this is NOT a comment about the relative benefits or not of Flight or FSX, it's just an observation!)I like Flight; it's like an easy walk in the sun compared to my NGX, which is like spending a few hours at work LOLbestjakep.s anyone know when Alaska is DLC'ing?

Yes, i knew where that was going !

Or it could be Flight users don't bother with logging out of the forum, leaving IE open, whilst running Flight as there are no worries about performance .

I bet all those 135 users at the PMDG site is struggling with the 1c update and the release of the the long awaited 2nd half of the Tutorial fliglt. Interesting comment about about how complicated the 737NGX is. You make it to Page 81 of the tutorial #2 manual before Engine Start. Amazing amount of cockpit work. In that amount of time, I would have move two or three levels up the chain in Flight.Just an observaton. I do like my 737NGX but when I was forced to reinstall all liveries, I limited the number to very few this time. Read - many more updates expected by me. Capt Razz did confirm they still have the military variants in the hopper so that day I will be back in the FSX camp all day, all week, or whatever.Ray

I'm not sure where this is coming from. Most users have not been "struggling" with the update. Tutorial #2 is purely a value added addition for those that would LIKE to get into the nuts and bolts of the NGX systems. It is certainly not required to go through in order to enjoy the aircraft. I can get a flight plan off vataware, load it into FMS using a planner and have aircraft with engines spooling in 15 minutes. If that is too much time I can always load up a saved flight to practice an approach, go around, etc. (Which is sort of equivalent to just enjoying a few trips around the pattern in a GA flight)As for liveries getting messed up, I thought most of us learned after the first update to just set aside installed ones for later update re-installs. No biggie.Anyway, yes, if you add up all FSX sub-forums, I think you'll find a more accurate reality.

Hey, don't go getting all defensive. I'm a big PMDG fan. Got most of them, even authored a nice Avsim review on the MD-11F, active in the forum from time to time. I flew my NGX yesterday as a matter of fact just to test the new liveries and the 1c load. Thanks for the hints and I am already doing most of them. I have a few 'go to' loads for a short flight from KBGN to KGPT with an ILS landing at Gulfport. I do that one from time to time just to stay current. I have another favorite from KTNT to KFLL with an ILS 27R landing that I really like.About once a month I go back and run thru the Tutorial #1 that was suppose to be the first of the two legs. Makes me appreciate how good the PMDG simulation really is.I'm just waiting for their version of the P-8A. Could be anytime now.Ray

LOL Talking about the 737NGX and then straight on to MS Flight... two so different worlds, still connected...Hard to imagine someone liking both... and still that's how it is!
